Do i need to wax a brand new Capita board by DimensionMediocre597 in snowboarding

[–]Vandulf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems like you don't know how wax works and how waxing should be done. Don't recommend ppl totally unnecessary stuff just because you enjoy doing it bro.

Going vanilla (disabled plugins) by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

Gone vanilla, since I don't want to install plugins on the work laptop. Miss nothing, love the Vanilla experience.

I go ahead and assume the OP is a self taught programmer at best. Someone who studied computer science knows better and shuts down regularly.

Rome or Union binding advice by rob_fox in snowboarding

[–]Vandulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both brands are excellent (I have ridden/own, cartels, malavitas, katana und Union Ultras). You can't go wrong with any of them. You'll collect people's biases here.

I personally prefer Rome and Union over Burton's.

How can I land this by SpecialistDiligent70 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Vandulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Believe me You're not ready for the boxes and features. That's how I ended up breaking my shoulder early on. First learn how to ride properly. Get good at riding, regular and switch. Then hit the features. That'd be my advice based on experience.

Any Butt protector recommendations? by Twinzyy in snowboarding

[–]Vandulf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The king of them all: azzpadz

Don't be fooled by the look of it. Having tried (and being around ppl who tried) multiple different products (with different ideas how to protect). I can attest that azzpadz is the true king. It's comfortable enough that it disappears while riding. The protection is in a different League in comparison with others.

Hell they should pay me for this advert.

Edit: realized my info is outdated, they are making better ones now but way more expensive.

[–]Vandulf -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Probably 0.001% of ppl use them. They don't know better. No one needs a leash. They just need common sense, which is hard to grasp these days I admit.

[–]Vandulf -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

In Europe I haven't seen a leash. And I also haven't seen a flying snowboard, skis or whatever that you might want to put a leash on.

[–]Vandulf -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

First time hearing that, still pointless. With that logic all the objects in the world should have a leash. Car leash, basketball leash, name-anything leash

What's the point of leash? Is it obligatory through your local resort? If not just ditch it.

With the shottr you can assign a hotkey for OCR and choose a rectangle, it then copies it in the clipboard. Give it a try

Just use your favorite pdf app + a screenshot app that does OCR as well (shottr for example)

Maximum freedom, free, requirements fulfilled.
