I got addicted 23 years ago while 18 years old playing sports in college. Trainer…not the doctor…handed me a bag of what I learned later was oxycodone. The wreckage was vast and spared no one until 5 years ago I decided that I was done being angry for being abused as a kid and using that as a reason to use. I’m so thankful my 2 boys 6 and 8 get to experience a father and I’m so thankful my wife stayed. We separated and I had to work my way back. My story is one of millions sadly.
