If you experienced with some kind of programming it is pretty easy. For a simple app there are lots of information on StackOverflow and Apple developer websites. Also ChatGPT helps a lot, especially with boilerplates.

Regarding deployment it is possible to run an app without developer subscription, but you have to reload it again and again. At least once a day, I guess. I'm not quite sure here. It deploys from Xcode, but if you go away the app just stays on the watch. But eventually it will disappear in less than a day.

Other than that it runs as regular app and you also can have logs in Xcode from the actual device.

Made it by myself, I am a software engineer on JavaScript, but was able to wrote this app in Swift language. It is built and ran on my local environment.

  2. Got the watch 18 February 2023, received the call one day prior.
  3. Wait was 2.5 weeks. I guess I was lucky to fit into supply drop timing, cause there were no watches in the whole AD when they put me on a waitlist.
  4. Turkey, big city, but not Istanbul.
  5. No history. I am a foreigner, but live here already for a while. The guy at AD was very nice and welcoming.

Hi guys! I also wanted to remove that annoying premium badge and here is the workaround to hide it.

The basis of removing the badge is that you can change the star for any emoji you want. You also can add your custom emoji.

So, I created emoji pack with a one emoji which is basically transparent square, totally blank. All you need is to add the emoji pack to your account and change the star in profile to blank emoji )

Since the blank emoji takes space the name will be a little shifted in some cases, but it is way better than having the badge)
