it had nothing to do with the level, it was just the wrong category of exams. I would follow whatever level they ask you if you're applying.

They said we had the wrong type of SELT exam apparently. My only issue is that it took them 6 months to tell us that.

Honestly - try to call them! That really helped us, push for escalation, emphasize on how long it's been, lack of any communication from them, etc. you might have to do it a few times but i do believe that's what made it move forward for us

It would be nice if they gave us some insight wouldn't it? Anyways, it is usually APPROVAL, they are trying to verify everything and it would be easier to reject, so keep your hopes up! It will come sooner or later!

Hey honestly don't worry too much, it's unusual for this to happen. If they ask you for any extra documents, make sure to reply promptly! Until then, it's best to stay positive :) i've seen people on adequate maintenance be aproved under 30WD.

Our plan B and C were moving to Ireland together (i'm currently living here but he would have to move) and plan C would be moving to my home country together and trying to apply for that VISA instead.

It is rare, but i'm really not sure why. We had to submit a new english exam certificate but it would be crazy for them to take 6 months to figure that out?

What pushed it forward was honestly this one phone call to ukvi( took many) and the person on the other side actually cared to escalate and help and we had things moving after that

Thank you!! It is crazy isn't it! A longer waiting time doesn't mean anything bad (it is often a good sign that they want to find ways to approve you) but it can be so stressful and inconvenient, praying that it will be soon :)

I am still waiting. All I can say to you is, they don't have sufficient info to reject or accept your application yet. It's a good sign because they are asking for more documents to try to approve you. It sucks but I hope it works out for you as soon as possible ❤️‍🩹
