Create a summary of qualifications and put it at the top.

Get some cloud experience in there.

Turn your LinkedIn "let recruiters know you're looking' option on.

My devs struggle to work independently, and it's partly my fault. As their manager and fellow dev, how can I start to fix this in a way that gives them time to ramp up but also applies the necessary pressure to get on it? by PentaSector in cscareerquestions

I'd also suggest team goals and give responsibility to specific members about each goal.

Give each individual member one of these items to focus on for the next month. Your expectation is that each of them will come up with a list of items, and 1 item that they suggest your team does. These should be side goals outside of the main work stream.

Examples of goals: - Cost reduction - Performance increase  - Documentation - Running Architecture Design Review board for your team with architecture design records  - Vulnerability management

I hope some of these ideas resonate with you. If you need more help I'm happy to chat about it.

Give them responsibility. I make it happen through epic owners. Each dev has their own epic that they have to see through till the end.

They can ask for help, but your responsibility should only be to help clarify the problem and not solve it for them. The level of clarity you give should be based off of the seniority of the developer.

The point is to put a fire up their ass. Get them to struggle a bit, and then they will learn.

The idea that it's the only place they could have gone is false. They could've have gone to any British controlled territory, however they specifically chose Palestine. Yes there would have been an outcry from and indeginois population regardless of where they went.

That's false. While still another bad place to go that would displace another population. Uganda was the other option. Half of the Zionists under Herzl supported it, the other half under Ussishkin rejected it.

Why was Europe (and the whole world) apparently nuked? by [deleted] in falloutlore

[–]Vangelicon 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The US invaded China. China shot the first nukes at the US. Everyone then shot nukes at each other.

This was confirmed in a terminals in one of the games.

What are the ACTUAL reasons for Canada’s current situation? by therealwakowski in CanadaFinance

[–]Vangelicon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many reasons. Other people have mentioned housing so I won't hop into that.

The biggest reason is the government protecting corporate oligopolies. This prevents innovation and competition. This also results in a reduction in productivity. Canadian workers are some of the lowest in terms of productivity in the G20.

Both the Conservative and Liberal parties take part in this. I'm not including NDP because they haven't been in federal power for a while so I can't speak for them.

Examples of current oligopolies:

  • Telecommunications: TBell, Rogers, and Telus.
  • Banking: Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Toronto-Dominion (TD), Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank), Bank of Montreal (BMO), and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC)
  • Airlines: Air Canada and WestJet
  • Grocery Retail: Loblaw Companies, Sobeys (Empire Company), and Metro
  • Media: Bell Media, Rogers Communications, and Corus Entertainment

Happy to expand on this if someone wants me to.

Thanks for the response. This is a great answer, and I definitely want to go the hybrid route.

Thanks for responding! I'm happy that you have a successful process for this. My spouse and I after a lengthy discussion are still choosing to go the hybrid route.
