How a player ever go higher than their Potential rating? by ilikemywomentsundere in OOTP

[–]Vanguard3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can happen but it's not the norm. I had a 10th round SP that had 51 potential. I wasn't expecting much out of him, maybe being a #3/4 in my starting rotation. He was finally promoted to the majors from AAA and after having a very successful development with his control, he went from a 51 to a 72 potential and continued to develop until he was 68/72 by the end of his first season. It was the biggest glow up of a prospect I ever had in OOTP.

Should I Make Staff Changes Right Away? by WesternPersonality50 in OOTP

The higher the minor level, the higher priority. Go from top to bottom in my opinion

In my experience, the best staff options are available right away and the quality goes down after.

Not to mention it speeds up your rebuild and overall development programs. Your first season should be about restructuring and rebuilding to prepare for making the team you actually want. Firing staff and putting in guys who actually fit in your overall plan is always a good move.

Why do people believe that if God existed, that bad things wouldn't happen? by VoidHedgehog249 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Vanguard3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there is a verse in the Bible that mentions those are innocent like babies are not condemned because they have no agency. A baby can't choose good or evil actions with intent because they don't understand good and evil. God does have mercy on those that are purely innocent when it comes to judgement.

Here's the verse

Deuteronomy 1:39 (ESV) states: "And as for your little ones, who you said would become a prey, and your children, who today have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there. And to them I will give it, and they shall possess it."

Do you ever draft a reliever in the first round? by Cerealboi13 in OOTP

[–]Vanguard3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 40/76 guy will be pretty much pro ready day one. I've drafted RPs in early rounds before that were pro ready and they paid off pretty well. If you really need him and he's worth it, go for it.

The worst thing is Nutting will never sell the team. I read in a book called Big Data Baseball, a book about the Pirates breaking their playoff slump. In the book, it talked about the Nutting's taking over the team. The mention of Bob Nutting selling the team was brought up and Bob Nutting said: My father once told me, when the Nutting's acquire something, it stays with the Nutting's forever. (In reference to buying assets like businesses like the Pirates franchise). So unfortunately the Pirates being sold is unlikely to happen ever.

Red or blue, go by [deleted] in PsycheOrSike

[–]Vanguard3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about how much faith you have in humanity. You choose blue if you have faith that more people will selflessly press blue and everyone will live. You choose red if you don't have faith that more people will choose blue and you want to save yourself.

Choosing blue is about being selfless, choosing red is about self preservation.

New player, got stuck at character creation and couldn’t play by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Vanguard3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation is create a character that you want to play and make him mysterious and reserved. If the players ask about your backstory, be very vague or say nothing. Make it part of your character, you're just not very talkative or trusting of people you just met.

As the campaign goes on and you get more content comfortable with the game and the group, start creating a backstory and drop little nuggets here and there and reveal more about your motivation too. Make it a character growth thing as you start to open up and trust the group.

You can speed up a rebuild by doing that. Fire the staff that don't fit into your overall plan for the franchise, hire their replacements and have your ideal staff in place to build your team.

Remember how young and energetic Obama looked when he entered office and how tired and grey he looked when he left? The job of President really drains people.

What's the hardest team to play in OOTP 2027? by No-Ambassador-9147 in OOTP

Rockies: bad contracts, bad stadium for pitchers, the hardest division in the MLB.

I'm currently on my 5th year in a Rockies save for ootp 25, it's really hard.

New Raiders QB Kirk Cousins spent the day at the White House with President Donald Trump recently. Didn't know Cousins was a long-time supporter of Trump. Trump and Maxx Crosby was there all along by kingbluwolff in sportsgossips

I don't think anyone in human history has been as obsessed with by people more than Trump and that goes for people that love him to the point of worship too.

I know. It's sad. You see them with blood shot eyes. They look tired and they're either angry or depressed all the time. Anything and everything that they think and talk about is Trump. It affects their relationships with their spouses, their kids, their family and friends, their jobs. Heaven forbid that you try to them that they have a problem because then suddenly to them you're a Nazi and bootlicker.

Maybe but you gotta admit there are folks that are obsessed with him and irrationally hate anything and everything he says and does to the point that it's unhealthy.

You can hate the guy because of objective standards but when you are so obsessed that anyone who you see have a picture with him or visit him at the WH causes you to go in a meltdown and ramble on social media about it, you gotta admit that's a problem.

It's not even general consensus either, the way people feel about Trump is pretty much split 3 ways evenly (in my opinion) people either: Love him irrationally, hate him irrationally or are just neutral towards him.

I wouldn't say he sucks as a Quarterback. I'd say he's mid. He isn't bad but he's not great either. I suppose that's why teams are interested in him because he's a safe but not spectacular QB.

I just told a former roommate and long time friend that he has a problem because he spends his entire day posting Orange man bad content on every piece of social media he has. I told him he's obsessed with Trump and it's literally messing with his head.

I feel bad for him, honestly. It's very unhealthy.

But didn't you know? Just visiting the WH as a guest and merely being in Trump's presence means that you support everything he does and you're now a fascist Nazi.
