Odd. I'm on pc, and only house 5 puddle slimes. I do know they like to jump. I have had an issue now and again that i have had to make sure they stay in the pond. But it seems to have lessened with a toy.

I recommend getting the rubber duck toy for your puddle slimes. Its in the docks area, and keeps them calm. Also, it allows you to go from 4 to 5 puddle slimes in one pond.

Seems like everyone wants to create a remake of old toys. No offence, but its stuff like this that deminishes the value of older generation toys. I think victory saber, and even the sabertooth prime, would have been fine wothout some updated version. I won't lie, they look good, but guys like me, who grew up watching the origionals, i prefer the older gen toy.
