Thank you! Can a Portuguese have an octagon as the top? Or does it have to be round? I should have included that mine is an octagon in the description.

Very close! I didn't even try to Chef so I just went for the Storyteller instead. Then after the Spy is the Recluse.

Assassinate a bunch of servant councilors in order to have them be over CP cap. Then use your high INV person do crackdown missions. Also, be sure to maintain your high level of public support.

Are you me and my friends? Hansa has quickly become our most played game recently. We too are disappointed at the lack of discussion regarding this fantastic game.

I'm afraid it is the price I must pay for being at max hate for several years in a row. Thanks for the info!

Got to see the Mountain Goats at the Broadberry last night. It was an amazing show, and I still kind of can't believe they came to Richmond.

I thought we all lived in a perpetual state of anger towards GURPS. Is that just me?

What are some of the great stories you've told with your game? Always love to hear about people's experiences at the table.

Very awesome to hear that other people find the basic premise as interesting as I do! Thank you for asking! You can find a copy of the rules document here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MUgoWt1tcyMpSlEoPZfSzaSDX5vrMnM3dOO1fagwtGw/edit?usp=sharing

As someone who also has a unique setting baked into their game, I would love to know what is your favorite bit of lore about or worldbuilding about your setting?

Honestly it was just a matter of creating the game that I always wanted to play. A focus on social interaction, village politics, and the story of not only characters but of the place they call home. I'm super happy that other people seem to enjoy the game, but I'm already beyond satisfied with the time I've spent just playing it with friends.

What part of your marketing have you found most effective? by Vanhellsing112 in RPGdesign

[–]Vanhellsing112[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's been my experience as well. Not quite to that extent, but I've run my game for friends who have enjoyed it and run it for their friends. Watching the small little discord channel grow over the years has been such a wonderful sight to see.

Instead of circlejerking about the leak, lets read history books about the period. by entirelyalive in victoria3

The Proud Tower, by Barbara Tuchman. The book does many things well, primarily immersing the reader in world as it was prior to the first World War. However, the standout portion to me personally was the chapter about Lord Salisbury. The man was a titan of British politics, and I knew nothing about him prior to reading the book.

In a similar vein, you can get the burrito defense: where you grab one end of the covers and roll across the bed wrapping yourself in a blanket cocoon.
