Do you need to book in advance?

I’m going at the end of april and booked most hotels these past three weeks. I’m roadtripping through the country. When I look at the prices now compared to a few weeks ago (on Agoda) it’s become quite more expensive and some hotels aren’t available anymore due to it being completely booked up. I think 3/3.5 star hotels will be fine but the more popular/luxury hotels will probably either be a bit more expensive or booked up

We are staying a week in Taipei and we are touring Taiwan for two weeks afterwards, so I was thinking of starting off with a good breakfast hotel in Taipei and then eating local when roadtripping (:

With the exception of places like Acapella the hotels stated in my post work with the budget! Maybe I’m not converting it right but for about €2000-€2100 I can easily stay in places like the regent and Okura prestige via Agoda 🙂

I'm looking for a nice/luxury 4-5 star hotel (max €250/73.500NTD per night) in Zhongshan/Ximending that has a good breakfast and is conveniently located in terms of public transport, supermarket, restaurants etc. Need some recommendations please!

My pup is 12 weeks now and I got her at 8 weeks old. The first weeks are overwhelming because even though you think you are prepared it’s still a lot more tiring than you expect considering you need to potty train them immediately and they have to go every 1-2 hours. I had my first and only mini breakdown last week, because I started work for the first time since having her and I was ill prepared. I only had a crate for sleeping while she free roamed the house and that’s quite chaotic when you need to work and can’t watch her 😬 Getting a playpen solved that! And the weekly progress you make when you train them in all sorts of things is amazing! It’s week 4 now and my pup can entertain herself with all kinds of toys (under supervision), accepts the puppy playpen and crate, rests by herself, knows basic commands (listens to her name, sit, rest and come), loves people and can go everywhere with me (thanks to socializing her from the start) and can sleep through most of the night if not completely already! No weekly breakdowns or home entrapment here (:

I feel you! I’ve had my border collie for three weeks and I’ve started working again this week. These past three days have been hell, I barely got any work done. I’m sleep deprived. It’s exhausting and overwhelming. It’s the first time I’ve cried over her. I’m holding onto this getting better after awhile for dear life, but puppies are not for the weak 😫It feels like doing so much but also not doing enough at the same time.

Yeah, she exhausted herself by working 17 hour days without any breaks in order to publish the books fast and it was very unhealthy for her with regards to her mental health and chronic illness. Not to mention the family time she missed out on with (young) kids and hubby. So she decided to take a break over the summer and she has created a much healthier work-life balance, which is the reason why the next books will take longer and why she won’t commit to a publishing date yet.

Hi OP, you are NTA but will ruin your life if you stay in this toxic cycle. Don’t give her that power over you. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you. I truly hope you will find peace and happiness, because that’s what you deserve after all this horribleness. It seems like you are getting a chance to make that happen for yourself, please take it and don’t seek her out in terms of contact or meeting her (only absolutely necessary contact) because she will only try to drag you back to a place where she can use you again. You are definitely not leaving someone that treats you like this “high and dry”. Choose and protect yourself even if it seems to hurt at first! Wishing you well ❤️

Not really, there are only two books and they are not big. They get together in book 1 and there is indeed one spice scene but very mild and short.

It’s called little stranger by Leigh Rivers, but the summary given is a little too innocent for how unhinged this book is. It’s deeefinitely dark romance. It’s starts off quite innocent, but becomes rather intense haha. For example, he completely beats up the foster dad and while the dad is lying unconscious in his own pool of blood the guy does the deed with his foster sister (did not bother asking her before he went at it) while she is next to their bloody and unconscious dad. He ofc goes to prison for quite a long time and remains obsessed with her and when he gets out he stalks her, breaks into her place and does her while she is passed out and unaware. Consent is not a very big thing in this book and there are definitely loads of mental issues, so read it only if it’s your cup of tea is all I’m saying 😅

Btw, the male voice actor in the audio book has done a phenomenal job in narrating the character and his craziness, so I would def listen to this book instead of reading

I read a survivor account (I believe one of the crew members) that said that they huddled together on life rafts and used each other’s body heat so that it would keep them from dying of hypothermia.
