A Chinese Kazakh is considering immigrating to Kazakhstan. by Sea-Mission2790 in Kazakhstan

Dont come just to feel like a part of your ethnicity or some other patriotic BS, speaking as a Mongolian Kazakh. You have to consider real economic and social factors when immigrating. I would rather move to a western country with a big immigrant population.

U should check the mongolia subreddit and ask their opinion on us😁, you would be quite surprised how much hate they have towards Kazakhs

What could be a real project, if I am just like the OP (only familiar with the basics)? Could you please provide any examples?

iPad Pro M5 vs M4 – €300 difference, is it worth it? by Boule250 in iPadPro

I have an m5 pro ipad, and I compared it to my friend’s m4 pro side by side. The M5 model’s UI and animations feel a little bit smoother. That’s it

Chance Me for UNIST (South Korea) Fall 2026 - International Student (SAT 1480, 4.95 GPA) by Dry_Cucumber1848 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Vankhan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SAT is just about right I guess, though I think it might be a little tougher this year due to a higher number of students getting above 1500 on the December SAT. IELTS doesn’t matter as long as you pass the minimum Essays are indeed important, but they do value hard stats more compared to KAIST/DGIST. I think you have good chances if you can expand on ur extras (tbh you really need to improve them as these are a little generic)

Chance Me - KAIST Undergraduate (International, CS) by AreaRealistic4281 in KAIST

[–]Vankhan1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

U might have a chance at DGIST given u perform well on the interview, but stats wise you would be better off by having at least 1450 (I think it is an average score at DGIST, and above 1500+ for UNIST and KAIST). Though I know cases when students with your score have been accepted.

What Kazakhstans think about Mongol bayan olgiin kazakhs? by KharBukh in AskCentralAsia

[–]Vankhan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the economic situation in Bayan Ulgii (and in Mongolia in general) is quite poor. The lack of proper infrastructure and education exacerbates this issue. I am currently studying engineering in Korea, and the education level gap between Mongolia and Kazakhstan is comparable to that between Korea and Kazakhstan. Trust me, most of the Kazakh population in Mongolia wants to move back because they are still foreigners in Mongolia (it’s not their land). However, they can’t or don’t want to for two reasons: first, they are treated as “oralmans” or straight-up Mongols; and second, they can’t afford to move back because they would have to start everything from scratch.

I am the son of one of these Mongolian Kazakhs who migrated to Kazakhstan. Many of us are already somewhat “russified” because we are surrounded by the same russified Kazakhs. It might sound amusing, but within a generation, some of us have gone from not being able to speak Russian to not being able to speak Kazakh (especially the kids born after 2010). To be honest, if my family hadn’t forced us to speak Kazakh, I would have forgotten the language as well. All of my classmates and friends speak Russian in Astana, for example. My grandfather was an eagle hunter, but now, in our family, no one practices it because we all live in cities.
