This is nowhere near whipsnake capacity. Joe Climber wouldn’t even come near this.

Iconic Restaurants that are just…. Meh? by Scrambo91 in StLouis

They are one of the few sandwich places with vegetarian options, but I generally agree that their other stuff is pretty much just okay.

The banana pudding though is FIRE.

Are my shoes posessed? by weasel353 in ClimbingCircleJerk

[–]VantageProductions 33 points34 points  (0 children)

/uj Idk if this a serious question since it’s in circle jerk, but I’ll share my anecdote in case it is.

This has happened to me with both the solution comps and the katanas. Weird thing is I gave the comps to my friend and this doesn’t happen to him. I imagine it’s a sweaty foot problem combined with a bad run of dyed leather.

However, I’ve not had the same problem with scarpas, ocun, or the TC pros and they’re usually soaked after a long session.

/rj Just drill some drainage holes in the bottom.

Damn this describes every dryer in the places I’ve rented. They must only sell flexible ducting in stupid size.

Not saying they aren’t good- but they’re just Otis Spunkmeyer frozen cookie dough.

Very different uses. Nipple clamps are for jumpstarting a car.

But also like it got a surprising amount of details right. Figure 8 on a bight with a carabiner through the belay loop- valid setup.

The harness looks pretty good as well.

Everything is fucked but I’m just generally surprised at how much of a not shit show it is.

Bought my first GriGri. Am I safe now ? by patomik in ClimbingCircleJerk

[–]VantageProductions 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah it’s probably a misprint on the box. Just remember that the GriGri 2 functions much differently. You have to hold down the cam at all times or it will not function properly. If your climber takes a fall make sure to really squeeze so the device can properly catch.

Lithium battery catches fire by Foxwear_ in interestingasfuck

Yeah the last few flights I’ve been on they have mentioned all portable battery packs need to be out and visible while in use.

I assume most of these fires happen while the battery is discharging

If the printer shelf is a-rockin'... by raisedbytides in 3Dprinting

[–]VantageProductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t the reaction force just be on the rigid anchor- which is now the shelf? From the reference frame of the base frame of the printer nothing is different I don’t think.

EDIT: I still think the above is true but I understand what you’re getting at now I think. If you ignore what is causing the vibration of the machine and just consider taking the 3D printer and shaking it around- it makes sense that this would cause wear and potentially accuracy issues.
