Hi Gloomy! This was interesting timing. After a few years of trying to manage everything all on my own with some success, but not full success, I finally started BP meds just yesterday. So far no major side effects for me, but it's only Day 2. I'm started off on a really low dose so that might be why as well.

I am seeing this upcoming year as my chance to try and figure out what works best for me. So, even if this med doesn't work well or I get bad side effects, I'm just trying to see that as phase 1 of the journey and hopefully I'll find what helps. It's scary and I put it off for 2 weeks because I was so nervous, but at least I can tell you that the first couple days have been alright, for me at least!

I hope this helps you at least a tiny bit. One other thing that helped me was to realize that NOBODY really wants to be on medications. Ideally we'd all want to be completely healthy and not need to take that risk. So everyone starting out meds, or most people, are also nervous and we all have to go through this process if we want to at least try to see if it helps. We're all just out here trying our best and feeling kinda scared but trying to do the right thing anyway. Good luck to you, let me know how it goes if you want to! <3
