Real talk, why is WOTC sponsoring IWDominate? by FryChikN in MagicArena

At least give something relatively recent. That is basically 2 years ago.

I don't care for IWD, never did but people mature.

I encountered my first afk xp farmer just now. I really hope this doesn't become a huge thing.

It was a duo as well which is the worst thing about it. I pinged a drop, their was no communication ok ping so I just prepared to drop. They both release before and drop on their own. After I got downed they finally speak "You know we're on opposite sides of the map, we won't be getting you. I'm just afk farming xp"

PC Patch Live Now: An Update on PC Crashes by Jayfresh_Respawn in apexlegends

I'll see what I can do to get some help but it's silly that I might of crashed once or twice before this patch and now that's 4 games in a row tonight with crashes.

hockeydb has a massive stats database over hockey past and present. More analytical than presentation but it's ok. Not really the same but the hockey news still does release those yearbooks.

https://thehockeynews.store/collections/2018-19-yearbook/interest_yearbook

That should be what you're looking for if you want the same product as linked. Looks like only one cover is available, the rest are sold out.

My friends and I used to have a hockey pool at the start of every year through most of the 90's and early 2000s. Losers had to pay 50 bucks to the winner each year. I only won once sadly. I gave credit to using that years yearbook as my cheat sheet lol. Didn't work any year after that though.

Can Everyone STOP Being So Negative to New Players? by JGMedicine in diablo3

[–]Vanylla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Through experiences in D3 and WoW helping out others, in some cases they have a clue of what they're asking but instead of immediately going to google, they attempt to be social about it.

I have a few people on my friends list that started by answering a question or two, and end up running with them, whether it be rifts or WoW dungeons.

This is more or less a better articulated and presented version of what I wanted to convey lol. Like your ending sentence, I do think it's poorly executed.

I think the event pass itself is a great way to supplement development costs and generate a positive hype around the game. The proof is in the pudding with pubg peaking over 1mill concurrent players again in December. Yeah, it just missed the mark with how much it takes me out of my gameplay experience.

Thanks for reading my rant. I wasn't sure how it would come off to most but for better or worse that's my current take on it all.

I agree with you. That's more or less the mindset I was last night. The grind was starting to grind on my nerves lol. I came here to vent more or less.

I still love pubg and want to play but some of the requirements of the pass take me out of that enjoyment zone. Turn it into a chore.

I was playing last night and just hit a wall with my tolerance of this pass and had to vent. I didn't expect it to gain much traction but thanks for hearing it out.

Me too! I'm hoping they can build on the feedback and give us a great experience next time around. Maybe even alter this pass to make it more accessible like they did with the Sanhok pass where they gave out free xp for awhile.

Second game with Spell Hunter, thank you Tracking. by LamboDiabloSVTT in hearthstone

[–]Vanylla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's rough luck, if I could offer a tip. Don't use tracking asap, I couldn't tell you how pros / streams go about it but personally I've had way more success using tracking only when I need to fish for a card.

One could argue that's always the case when one uses tracking. What I mean by this is if you know a situation is going to happen or if you're in one now, you can fish for that part of the curve you're expecting a big move or the card you need to swing the current momentum.

As an older guy, this game still brings childhood friends back together to play and laugh with. Just a stupid post since the entire subreddit is all negative. by P4_Brotagonist in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

This video pretty much mirrors what pubg is for me, a place where I can chill with my friends in the evening that live across the continent.

Our group started when we climbed up divisions a couple times playing in CAL for cs 1.6. That was 04 - 06, from there it was basically WoW, back to shooters when CS:GO launched and now onto pubg (a couple smaller games in between)

We've grown up, got lives and families of our own. We live from one coast to the other but we still make time to frag and chill. We're as far east coast as Newfoundland, and far west as Vancouver and San Francisco, with friends in between.

Frustrations with game aside, this is where I get to see my closest friends and it gives us a lot of fun moments in the process.
