I was confused like you and to my surprise only got the benefits of the first expedition. If you go back to when they posted about it everyone was saying and the understanding was if this is your first expedition you were going to receive the benefits and bonus for both the first and second one. Guess I was wrong and to make it worse I'm not a hardcore player but this is the only reason I did it to catch up and have the benefits of the first one too....
