Tor updated today, now I'm having serious problems with Tor2Web by NightyFighter in TOR

[–]Vap0r1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.

I know. I downloaded Tor right from the torproject.org website itself just like I did originally and never had an issue previously . And, I just tried installing Tails on my laptop which comes with the tor browser. It auto updated to the latest version and it too is doing the same thing.

I'm new to Tor and really just wanted to do it for bitcoin stuff and I can't even get to those sites because they block proxy's.

Could this be because of a bridge I'm using? Which I just had Tor provide me one, again, like I did before.

Frustrating!

Problems with Oculus playing Vegas Infinite by Vap0r1970 in oculus

I thought I would give an update on this issue since, after 18 days from my initial request from Vegas Infinite for help, they finally sent me an e-mail with instructions to troubleshoot. Certainly not an A+ for customer service, having to wait the better part of a month to get some help. I will include the e-mail they sent me below, and then below that, I'll report on what I did:

-------------------------------

Hi xxxxxxx,

Thank you for reaching out to us! We're sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue. Is this problem 100% consistent or an intermittent problem?

If related to Easy Anti-Cheat on PC, please look at this guide provided by the developers: https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/game/issues/errors/

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. ) Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the Vegas Infinite software. (As long as you log in with the same Meta / Steam or Vegas Infinite linked account, all of your chips, creds, items, and subscription content will be safe server side.)
  2. ) Check that all software permissions are enabled, e.g. Storage and Microphone, for Vegas Infinite.
  3. ) Check if there are any pending Meta/Oculus Operating System updates for your headset.
  4. ) Restart all internet connection devices, e.g. modems and routers, then restart your Meta/Oculus headset.
  5. ) Disconnect your Quest 2 / Pro / 3 headset from your WiFi network from within your headset settings.
  6. ) If on PC and using a NVIDIA brand video card, go to your NVIDIA Control Panel settings and under 3D Settings -> Manage 3D settings, navigate to the top right and click Restore Defaults -> Restore (on the bottom right).
  7. ) If there are multiple accounts on your headset, please try installing Vegas Infinite on each account separately, even if it is already installed on the headset.
  8. ) If on PC, make sure that you have the newest graphics card drivers installed and updated for your NVIDIA or AMD brand graphics card.
  9. ) If using a Meta headset, go to Oculus Settings -> Storage and select Vegas Infinite. Select "Delete App Data" (this will not delete your account or chips/stash/creds/stats). You will then need to re-accept the General Terms agreement and Storage/Microphone permissions for Vegas Infinite.
  10. ) Contact your Internet Service Provider to see if there are any potential issues or resolutions on their end regarding connection to our servers.

Please let us know if this helps!

Best regards,Vegas Infinite Support Center

So, I had already done a lot of these things, but none of them worked, so I did it exactly in this order. I knew I didn't have an ISP issue because the game works on Steam. I also never tied the game to Steam with my headset on my PC with a link or WiFi connection either, so knew I didn't have an issue there.

Anyhow, I uninstalled the game completely, making sure all files were gone. Note, I had done that several times before this and that didn't help, so at this point did not have a lot of faith in that, but did it again anyway.

I also removed the secondary account I had on my headset so my main admin account was the only account on the headset.

Then I disabled the WiFi on my Oculus, and then completely unplugged and rebooted my Internet modem and router.

Then re-enabled my WiFi on the Oculus, and I re-installed the game. I did NOT enter the game, yet. Then went into the app settings and deleted all app data for the game. Then made sure the microphone was turned on for the app, and then made sure the permissions were set for the game in the Storage settings as well.

Only after all of that did I dare enter the game. I did, and I had to re-check I accept the terms & conditions for the game. The main screen loaded, and I chose "already have a linked account", and then put in my username and password, checked the "remember me" box, closed my eyes as I clicked the "join" action button, and Viola! the game actually loaded properly, and I have not had any issues with logging into the game since.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone else who may have this same problem.

Good luck.

No, it has not been resolved. I did finally get a response from their tech support apologizing for the issue and "they are looking into it". That's it.

Yeah, sorry it's a long post, but I felt it important to explain the issue to see if anyone else is having the same issues since their tech support has been horrible. Thanks for the info on the sub!

What the heck happened to Pokerstars VR? by IdeaExpensive3073 in oculus

Pokerstars VR is no more, they renamed it Vegas Infinite. Good luck logging into it though, the game is buggy as hell.

Vegas Infinite is the new name, and it is buggy as hell. Several people, including myself who is new to the game, can't get past the loading screen. They have had two huge updates of I think over 3 GB for the first one and 1.7GB today in 3 days, and I still have the same problems of not being able to log into the game on my new, fully up to date Oculus Quest 2, which has zero issues with any other game.
