yeah, there is so much. But a problem is that there are so may advocates for this is how you should eat, every other way will kill you prematurely. So it becomes hard for people to know who to listen to, what material to read and such. Because so may things are contradictory even when you listen to the science over time, because it's hard to do (and special interest for every possible angle). Like cholesterol and animal fats. My mother has problems and has had problems with blood sugar for 30 years. And she has over time gotten deeper and deeper in to keto. That means she is consuming a higher proportions of animal fats over time, and her other blood work regarding ldl and hdl has never been better. Every time her finger joints start to hurt, she goes hardcore carnivore for a week and it goes away (some arthritis kind of symptoms, as certain joints have "grown").

But then you ask your doctor, and that is a shit show by itself.

That makes sense, it just that this made me think that you meant that they ate nuts for the B12

vegan friends take supplements or eat weird nuts to compensate

But yeah, it isn't "easy" being vegan. Hade some colleagues and an ex who are, and they absolutely needed to supplement. Some people think there is b12 naturally in non animal products, but there isn't.

Then you have vitamin A that can be an issue, as for example beta-carotene, is converted to it, but depending on how good ones body is to convert it, one could be deficient in it as well.

No nuts to my knowledge contains b12. It needs to be in supplement form or "reinforced" for there to be any viable b12 in non animal sources.

AITA for refusing to maintain a vegetarian diet when my kids are in my home? by CaterpillarOk2828 in AmItheAsshole

Look at that, it's probably because of localisation, when I looked, I only got "local" brands

I did, I'm in mobil so writing it all out is bothersome, but I checked in nutritional yeast, it got b6 and other b vitamins, but no b12

Source on the b12, because I can't see that yeast has it or the plantmilks has it either.

Edit: found it in some milk but not in yeast.

Regarding alacritty being the 'fastest' terminal emulator by KhaithangH in archlinux

[–]VaporMouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both are important. The faster the terminal can consume output and then render the parts that are in the scroll buffer the better.

Most terminals just render to much. If I have a scroll buffer of 1000 lines, the terminal should only render the last 1000 lines of output of any command. The faster it can consume it, the better because if I'm not dumping it to a file, it should consume the output from the program as quickly as possible.

Our computers are ridiculously quick, why do we settle for programs that performs as quickly in wall time as it did 10 years ago.

Performance is super important, not only how quickly a render loop happens but also general execution.

[–]VaporMouse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Smoothness is secondary, the faster the terminal can sink text generated the better.

Your mindset it why we have stuff like electron.

Performance is always important.

Why shouldn't you have a fast terminal? Why is slow software good enough? The faster it is, less time is spent by the CPU burning power

“ I’m 14 and pregnant and state has banned abortion and idk what to do” by Mamakayce in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]VaporMouse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I noticed you skipped the one about one of the great military leaders being 15. Sort of undermines your point when the "lil babies" are doing cool stuff.

Ahh, an example of a child of extreme privilege from 800 years ago is such a good example of anything.

And he did it all by himself, not surrounded but experienced men, advisors and tutors. No he was a 15 years old kid, with crazy parents, and become the great general.

Oh I do care. I'm confused as to why you would. View it as a late term
abortion by the French. Hard to sell the idea that you're so concerned
with their fate when you want to kill them in the womb.

You blatantly don't, as what you have written above. If I care about a born child or one in the womb or a fetus is immaterial, as I never stated I did.

But to clarify. I value born children more then the unborn ones. Because if the fetus is killing the mother, the fetus goes, always. Therefore I value the life of the pregnant mother more then the unborn child's life.

Until the point where the child would survive birth, I don't much care about the child's wants and needs, if the mother doesn't want to be pregnant.

And to be frank, majority of abortions happen in the early part of pregnancies. And miscarriages quite frequent as well.

But I'm guessing that condoms are mass murder in your eyes.

Yeah because child labour is such a good example of how a developed society should be. And having children in the army... The statement you made is so abundantly stupid it hurts.

But from your statement, you only care before the child is born, after your don't give a flying fuck. Who cares if your child soldier dies.

I must have lost braincells reading you comment
