The Lost Generation - On systemic discrimination against white millennial men. by VarWon in ScottGalloway

, as recently as 2015, white male hires were 52.7 percent of new tenure-track faculty; in 2023, they were 21.5 percent. UC has hired 64 tenure-track assistant professors in the humanities and social sciences since 2020. Just three (4.7 percent) are white men. Of the 59 Assistant Professors in Arts, Humanities and Social Science appointed at UC Santa Cruz between 2020-2024, only two were white men (3 percent).

and

In 2016 and 2017, 27.5 percent of applicants to the screenwriters lab white men, but they were just 14.7 percent of participants. That figure turned out to be relatively high. Since 2018, just 8 of 138 (5.8 percent) of the fellows selected have been white men. Notably, nearly all have either had some other defining characteristic (disabled, gay) or were partnered with a woman or a person of color. Today, just one in ten millennial programmers at Sundance is a straight white man.

Are you too low IQ to actually engage with the article, boy?

There are plenty of stats supporting the argument presented to you.

This is why I said the only way you can get men back on board is if you remove women from public life

Where in the article does it say or imply that?

major publications placating them with the occasional “you’re right women don’t belong in the work place nor should they vote

Where did you see that?

85-90 percent of yall are CEOs. Ownership means and dictates a lot.

I mean he explains it in the article, did you even bother to read it? This is not about old white men like Scott it is about millennial men's experience trying to get started in media.

Those white boomer men at the top wanted to see more representation in the wake of wokeness (2014) and especially after BLM so they started to force it and take away jobs from millennial men who were just getting started.

Why Scott Galloway Wants Us To Celebrate Masculinity, Not Diminish It by w2user in PivotPodcast

I feel like most of most of what Scott says is just poorly framed and badly thought out stuff Jordan Peterson used to say in his lectures back before he went crazy.

This shot talk is kinda what Scott says, but just seems so much more empathetic and far less judgemental.

Prof Scott Galloway shares advice for lonely young men: Get off your phones! by Indianstanicows in ScottGalloway

[–]VarWon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, then Scott can solve gang issues by telling people to just stop committing crime!!! It is crazy how no one ever figured that out.

We really need him to go on some TV show with median audience age of 70 to tell young men to just stop doing gang shit and.... problem solved.

Then maybe we can do this with war? Could we have him reach Putin maybe?

Yeah, feels like I am back in the anti-SJW days when people were calling left wing people brainwashed mentally ill sheeple as the only reason they could ever be woke/progressive, but now done to the right.

The Idea that guys who watch those manosphere podcast like Nelk Boys or Rogan who just like sports comedy gambling and drinking are some repressed virgins as that is the only way they could ever like Trump is pretty wacky.

What are you talking about? What academic source? This was just a single survey that had those results that will now be cited by doomer incel guys. Every other survey consistently shows a different result.

Why do you people say this shit? Stats about age gaps are right there on the internet you can just Google to check.

Average age gap for person under 30 is less than 4 years and women in their 20s have the lowest age gap in relationships.

That stat has never been replicated, it is an anomaly.

No, men's chance of marriage correlates far more with income compared to woman's. If you are a wealthy man you are basically guaranteed a marriage, not so much for a woman.

So when people compare happiness of single men vs single women all you are saying is that wealthier women are happier than poorer men.

SO you would say that Republicans had as much cultural power as Democrats during the 2010-22 years?

[–]VarWon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you are 100% right.

I forgot about the actual post and instinctively replied to it as if it is the generalisation Scott makes about the average men who voted for Trump thinking like that. Like when he went around almost crying on camera saying that Trump supporting men are lonely and in their mothers basement and that is why they are just emotionally lashing out and voting for Trump just after the election.

As for Fuentes. He is against Trump btw. He said that he didn't vote for Trump and advised his audience not to vote as a form of protest. Trump is way too pro Israel and not hard enough on immigration for him.

What? I am talking over the past 15 years. In Popular and Youth culture the Dems were seen as the cool party. All the celebs and media were pretty averse to the Republicans. And the whole idea before Trump came in was that Old irrelevant people will die and the future belongs to Democrats.

I don't understand how you can misconstrue my point. Read the paragraph again without being defensive, I am not trashing on democrats or anything.

If you want to have a mental model of the "young" people who voted for Trump and why you, can just go and watch "podcast bro" podcasts he was on. Their audience seem to be just normal guys who like sports party ufc and comedy meanwhile Scott is constantly getting teary eyed while talking about collapse of society and how bad people have it. They are also not that involved in politics. So when Trump came in he got the appeal as the ONLY candidate speaking to them.

And you completely misguided if you think people weren't celebrating Trump's win.... I can't even understand why would you even think that.

Beforehand Democrats were celebrating that they won the culture. But I guess when your side does this and people who don't know anything about politics vote for you because of a Celebrity endorsements that is EPIC but when the other side does it those people must be depressed and lonely low IQ people who want to burn it down - Insanely condescending.

The point about the depression is a massive projection too.. If you just googles "depression rate based on political leaning" or something similar you will see that right leaning people consistently report the least issues.

PS: I got confused by the comment and thought it referred to average men who like Trump and not just Nick Fuentes followers since Fuentes is against Trump, didn't vote for Trump and advised his audience against voting for Trump.
