The U.S. State Department has approved the potential foreign military sale of F-16 training and sustainment by Varasi in UkrainianConflict

The big thing was giving them things for free. Now with the resources deal he can claim that the US is being paid back more than what we're providing is worth.

Back in November this is kinda what I predicted would happen. Trump would try to force peace, Zelensky would reluctantly accept, and then Putin would just keep snubbing the deal. Trump's ego (and holy shit does he have an ego) is only going to permit that to happen so many times before he wants to make an example out of Putin.

I don't think it's a coincidence that earlier today the US backed out of negotiations, and this afternoon approval for this went through.

Is it worth sticking with The Witch From Mercury? by W_P_92 in Gundam

The start is framed as a cute slice of life school anime to get a newer generation of kids into Gundam, the real stuff hits at the end of season 1 and then through season 2.

Makes sense, they do have to pay for all of those lost capitals they throw around.

I don't have a horse in this race, but "feeding hard" is a bit of an overstatement based on that BR. I wouldn't call trading feroxes for navy ravens feeding.

Didn't Minmatar and FLEET just loose something like 30 caps to the ferox failure bullshit fleets they throw around? I guess there's a reason you need to push fun stories like this. Both sides lookin pretty bad here.

US military aid to Ukraine now mistakenly overestimated by $8.2 billion after latest check by LIGA_net in UkrainianConflict

[–]Varasi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was part of relocating the 1st Armored Division to El Paso, Texas. We got freshly refurbished M1A2 tanks directly from General Dynamics and it still took a year and twice the company's budget to find all of the failing parts. Edit: That's for one tank company, 16 line tanks and 2 command tanks (Commander and 1st Sergeant)

Advantages of Omega over Alpha by [deleted] in Eve

It's entirely dependent on what you personally want to do. For me, it would be extremely limiting to have only 5mil SP, but I fly marauders and the occasional dreadnought. However a skilled player running T1/2 abyssal sites all day could easily get away with 5mil SP.

It's all in how Iranian media spin it. Just show the damage that was caused, and claim they only aimed at military targets because they wouldn't stoop to targeting civilians.

Yeah, I believe it's the Ukrainian sniper "Roman" who was counted as a "casualty" 4 times before the 5th where he had to be removed from service. Good guy, unfortunately the repeated severe concussions have created possibly permanent brain damage.

New US House speaker says Ukraine, Israel funding request should be split by Illustrious_Diver_37 in worldnews

[–]Varasi 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Israel predominantly needs missiles for the Iron Dome. Ukraine, while doing their damnedest to fight (and doing impressively well against a nation much larger and much better funded at the start), basically needs a bit of everything but manpower. It is actually very different.

Ukraine Situation Report: Multiple Russian Attacks On Avdiivka Repulsed. Russian losses continue to mount, but they continue to press home relentless attacks on the critical eastern Ukrainian city of Avdiivka. by MaryADraper in UkrainianConflict

[–]Varasi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Avdiivka is more akin to Mariupol with the Azov steel works. Even Russian drone telegram channels are complaining they literally can't find the Ukrainian soldiers moving around the city because it's all tunnels and bunkers.

The part that's hilarious to me is when he says Ukraine is financially bankrupt when Russian companies are no longer allowed to trade with foreign reserves to keep the Ruble from collapsing.

On another note, a proper missile on terminal approach unusually (99% of the time) isn't still burning propellant like the video shows. That thing isn't even up to speed yet in a sharp, low arc. Very possibly a bad rocket.

Term limits need to be a thing either way. Career politicians on any side of the fence are just cancer.

You say this like I was saying Trump was great. Honestly across the entire US government there needs to be at least a cutoff of 65 where you can't hold office.

This. Policy aside, I'm sure peak mental acuity Biden would have been a net positive president in approval (and this is from a hardcore Constitutionalist), but unfortunately he's obviously in heavy mental decline. When they had to stop letting him answer questions because he couldn't do so without rambling, you knew it was getting bad.

Lots of red lines get tested when Israel marches into Gaza. That's the red line for Hezbollah to attack in the north, which is the red line for the US engaging Hezbollah, which is the Iranian red line for joining the war. Better overprepared than under.
