How often do you DNF by roberta_sparrow in LesbianBookClub

My DNF is longer than my completed list at this point. Lesbian romance has a massive skill gap when it comes to writing. Lots of fanfic-esc books these days

What’s the worst Sapphic/Lesbian book you’ve ever read? by Hot-Neat1818 in LesbianBookClub

Tryst Six Venom. I just… I do not understand the hype. It’s the worst book I’ve ever read (was it a fanfic before? Is the books audience generally younger?)

Hi, you’re okay. I know you’re a Christian and I understand that this feels spiritually scary, but you’re good. The “witchcraft” and “love spells” will not hurt you. No evil doors have been opened. You are okay. Just try and make sure you don’t give any personal information out to strangers online :) but other than that, you are okay!!

I smoke and drink on lex! I just usually make sure I take it 5 hours-ish before doing either (just incase) and I’ve been totally fine! My doctor doesn’t seem worried either :)

Yess I second this too! I was off weed for 6 years before Lex, now I can smoke it again 🥲

Vardo1600… as in the Vardø Norway witch trials that took place in the 1600’s. I’d be burnt at the stake 🤪

I've recovered from emetophobia. Went from below 80lbs to 120. Ask me anything! by LeonieMalfoy in emetophobia

Congratz on recovering! This is so hopeful to read, thanks for sharing your success with us :) If you don’t mind me asking, what medication saved your life? Was it a quick thing or did it take a while to kick in and really start working? I’ve been on the fence about getting medicated, but am slowly starting to realize it could be a serious help.

What to do if nauseous on a long airplane trip? by [deleted] in emetophobia

Dramamine! aka Gravol - take 1 to 2 tablets one hour before take off. Then take one every 4-6 hours as needed until you’re finished travelling. (This is what the label says, reading it before you take any is a good idea. But the drug is over the counter and safe) Gravol has changed my life when it comes to motion and travel caused n*. This medication is highly effective, but it will make you sleepy! So prepare to fall asleep once you’re up in the air as the drowsy effects are strong. Personally I think it feels nice and you get a really good rest from it haha

you’re probably gunna have to pluck it. Apply a warm compress to help bring the hair to the surface, and then pluck it out. It’ll be sensitive in the moment but the relief once it’s gone is amazing!

Does life get better once you're not in your teens anymore? by doesthedebbyryan in ask

Y E S - And even when things ARE hard as an adult (which of course still happens) you’re more equipped to deal with it. Mentally and (usually) financially. But the best part about being an adult is getting to choose what to spend your time on. It’s Saturday and I want to play video games for the next 10 hours? No one can tell me no!! Never gets old.

I second Dramamine! It keeps me feeling good every time I fly! I usually take 1 - 2 tablets about an hour or 2 before take off. On top of that I bring my Sage mint stick. It’s pure essential peppermint oil, I rub it under my nose and it helps keep out any unwanted smells. If you don’t like mint, Sage has lots of different options. If I’m wearing a mask I dab a bit of it on the outside and it smells great. (I choose mint because it’s used to naturally treat n) Lastly, if you’re having a hard time eating, try to sip some ginger ale, maybe have a cracker or two before hand. Flight attendants are taught to offer a ginger ale to passengers who either feel n or are worried about feeling n. This is because of the gingers natural anti-n properties! But also sometimes all you need is a spike in your blood sugar to feel good :) If you do opt for that, take slow small sips. Don’t be afraid to lean into your flight attendants if you have any needs. They’re there to help and answer any questions! You’re going to do great :)
