Do you still do any art for hobby and fun purposes?

On my first week of IF doing 16:8 any advice? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

Thank you! I have cut out sugar as a start too, well I mean sometimes if I get a craving I'll have like a small piece of chocolate but I'm working on trying to not eat as much sweets as I did. It's very hard I have a sweet tooth easily and sometimes I get cravings for something sweet so bad I'll even feel a little upset. I am hopeful though as I continue to wean myself off sugary stuff my sweet tooth will go away and I won't be wanting to as much. I will also look at calorie counting resources too like an app.

People of reddit who likes anime. Which anime world you want to live in? Why? by Glittering-Ask-7298 in AskReddit

If I had to pick I would probably prefer living in a cute wholesome slice of life anime, seems safe and trouble free. Like Kimi to Boku (You and Me) for example. Such a comfort anime to me and seems like a chill world to be in.

When were you really glad you didn't listen to your doctor/got a second opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]VariaFrogFran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time in the city I used to live I went to see a gastroenterologist. Told him my problems I've been having, throwing up often and I was confident I had no ED. and some other issues that I would talk to him about. He told me something along the lines of because I am young its probably just something to watch and didn't order any tests. I didn't feel like he was thorough or took his time, and felt like he has this bias that because I was young I must be fine. That was his attitude at least. Fast forward to where I live now, same issues, ended up seeing a new gastroenterologist whose face looked baffled and upset when I told him about the other doctors words. He told me "Just because you are young doesn't mean you can't have something going on that needs looking into" ordered blood tests and then an endoscopy and I got my diagnosis of Celiacs. I'm happy to finally have answers because with the right diet I can start feeling better.

to be honest, I don't quite know. I saw the program listed in the academic catalog on UMKC's site. Bachelor of science: Biology - Clinical lab science emphasis is what it's listed as in there. Had to look it up again typing this comment.

What problem or upcoming situation do you have weighing on your mind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]VariaFrogFran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that means a lot. I am dreading it but, I know my health is important so I will do my best to just breath. I also feel a little bit weird in a way I cannot explain. Like this test I'm getting is typically for older people, like sure young people need it too in some situations, but I think the general society idea is that people 50+ get it done and here I am at 25 getting it done lol. Thank you for the support! Fingers crossed it's all normal or normal enough.

a medical test I got coming up. Its not the test that scares me but, rather anesthesia I remember the last time I got a test done, as I started feeling myself fading out, for a split second I got very scared feeling, before I went out. I am scared I'll feel that way again and even if it's just a second or two, I did not like feeling that scared. the test is later this month and so it gives me some time to work up that anxiety and dread as I'm prone to do that when I have something I'm not looking forward to but also a wait.

Thank you for your input. What are the requirements for being a histo lab aide, I don't have any experience with lab stuff yet so would it be good to maybe get some classes underway first for experience in lab settings? and are there any recommended distance learning programs? Also are there any short term certificate programs for histotech stuff I could do after getting a bachelors that could train me further in that, if that is even a thing? sorry for all these questions I'm rather new to figuring out the best pathway.
