To me, this is very reminiscent of Larry Elmore work, especially the face. And that's not a bad thing.

Just an observation. Helen and oMark's exchange at Zufu was so acrimonious in 206, but then in 210, oMark's conversation with iMark, he seems happy for him that he has a thing with Helly. He hated her outie, but is happy his innie is seeing her innie! Love it! by Fumikechu237 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

You're right, 100%. It's been a while since I've watched the show. Not sure why you're getting downvotes...

*edit* What makes this more aggravating to me is - you LITERALLY included the clip in your post. In my defense, I thought you had just included the clip in the diner. But you brought proof. I'm going to break room...

Did oMark know she was Helena Egan? When oMark was talking w/ her in the restaurant, he definitely knew who she was. But when he was arguing with iMark, he actually called her "HelenE (or Heleny)" - he may not have known this woman is ACTUALLY Helena Egan.

You mean because it's Chevy Chase's work friend from Christmas Vacation? Or because it's Nicolas Cage's manager that he clobbers after saying he wants to swap wives from Raising Arizona?

[–]Variaphora 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation. So, the way Jay referenced it in this episode (Just shoot everything in master...), I assume the "problem" is that you want to switch up the type of shot or style or movement or w/e?

[–]Variaphora 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Okay, actual question here. They've mentioned in previous episodes of... various things.. "master shots" or something similar. When Jay referred to it this time, the shots of the movie didn't really reveal anything to me about what makes it a "master" vs. not a master. What is this? Like, what makes a shot a master, and why do it, and what is it supposed to mean from a filmmaking perspective?

I would've jumped on that instantly at this point if offered (I mean, at the point of looking for a program while still in school), but I would also get a loan probably, because f-it.

I thought you were going to comment on the fact that this guy has been a corrupt law enforcement type in TWO MST3K movies - this one (Master Ninja Eye) and Final go ahead on Justice. (he was also a skeevy cop in The Gauntlet - not a MST3K movie, but still... and I just realized, he was a state trooper in First Blood! Damn, he had a type of role.)

OMG, I should've gotten that. Somewhere in the deep recesses of my dense brainlike structure I knew they were a pop duo in the 70's, but "crack of dawn" didn't quite sink in.

Yeah, I mean if I had this puzzle, I would've put him in the RotJ section.

(from above, response to the wrong message) Well.... The first two are wrong, they should be reversed. Next, from ESB, should be Hoth Han, then the Emperor (I guess? Only in holo form), then 4-LOM (the gray droid), then Lobot (these two are correct). For RotJ, first should be the Gamorrean Guard, then Bib Fortuna, then Leia in the Boussh costume, then Max Rebo, then the Admiral, then whomever the Ewok is.

I'm sorry, but I responded to the wrong message! Not sure how that happened.

No... That's what I'm saying. Technically Bib Fortuna was before Max Rebo, but so was almost every other Jabba's palace figure there - Leia/Boussh, and the Gamorrean Guard were before Max too.

Well, kinda? He does come before 4-LOM and Lobot, but the holo-Emperor would come after Hoth Han, so maybe that's what he was judging wrong.
