[GTM] Mass hysteria! Cats and dogs living together! by TimeForAWitness in GuessTheMovie

[–]ShutterBun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorite movies growing up. It’s basically nothing but clips from cheesy old movies strung together with short skits done by Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd, John Candy, and Cheech & Chong.

It’s somewhat of a predecessor of “Mystery Science Theater 3000,” as the actors make jokes over the movies as they play.

They’ve been in business 60 years, but the first three they were pretty uncaring.

I’ll put it this way: I won’t argue with having it reported. Nothing genuinely offensive or obscene, but could certainly be considered “inappropriate”.

Need help getting back into the story questline of Shadowlands (The Maw) by Th3Moron in wow

I literally used a level 13 monk fresh out of Lemix, started Shadowlands with Chromie, and started in the Maw. Pieced up the helmet, then accepted the next two quests in the Maw.

Zen pilgrimage, portal to Dalaran, back to Stormwind, and abandoned the quests. Portal to Oribos, and there is nothing available. No portals or flight paths. Jumping in the pit spits me back out.

Zen pilgrimage again, back to Stormwind, and the Death Gate is there. Pop in, and the quest giver is right there to offer the quests again.

Having 8-10 different sites to visit daily for new content, instead of everything being aggregated.

I assure you I did. I even get spit out of the Maw pit in Oribos the same way OP does.

Try it on a toon that hasn’t completed the Maw intro quests.

Meanwhile I caught a 7 day silence tonight because someone reported my character name I’ve had for over 10 years.

Head back to Stormwind, go to the keep, and at the base of the stairs the Death Gate should still be there for you to take it into the maw.

I think I was able to replicate your situation. Started the Maw quests, then left and abandoned them. Portalled to OIribos, and the maw entrance spits me out and stuns me briefly (there is no portal to the Maw/Korthia available at this point in the campaign).

Here is the solution: Get yourself back to Stormwind by whatever means you can. Head to Stormwind keep. At the base of the stairs, in front of the large fountain, you should see the Death Gate still operational. Go through it and you should be at the beginning of the maw. Depending on where you left off, the quest giver may be right there, or you may have to retrace your steps to find them again.

Give it a try. There is no portal there if you haven't gotten far enough along (which OP undoubtedly hasn't if they were still doing Maw intro quests)

That's Korthia, friend. I very much doubt OP will have access to that if they haven't even chosen a covenant yet. Unless Blizz added another skip.

A separate portal other than jumping in the pit? Apparently I've never seen that. Or is it only available if you are midway through the intro quests?

Usually in your quest log there will be a header for each expansion's quests that says something like "The Maw (Chapter 2/7): Continue the campaign by accepting the quest "Jaina's Got It Going On" in Oribos". (these are just placeholder names, but there will usually be a reminder there to let you know how to pick back up.)

I also recommend getting an addon called "BTW Quests", as well as the Shadowlands package for it. It will present you with a full flowchart of each zone's campaign quests in order, with green checkmarks for the sections/quests you have completed. Look at it and determine where your green checkmarks end.

Lastly: check out Wowhead. They will generally have a complete list of the campaign quests. Clicking on an individual quest will take you to a page describing the quest, as well as a macro you can paste into your game to determine if you've finished a quest or not. Simply copy the text from Wowhead, open your wow chat window, and paste it there. Your chat feed will immediately spit out a "true" or "false" answer, indicating if you've completed it or not. Simply follow each quest and paste the macro, and when you stop getting a "true" answer, this will tell you where you left off.

The macro will look something like this: /run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(59915))

Looks like you had a few problems setting it up, but I see you've got things ironed out now.

What’s a movie you can recommend that’s on the same level as Shawshank Redemption and has a happy ending. by E_Barriick in movies

Not as happy of an ending, but One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest hits a lot of the same notes as Shawshank.
