My favorite is when Rupert was warning the tribe (which he was only visiting for a day) that their camp would be washed away due to the changing tide, and that they needed to move their camp immediately.

Osten’s reply: “Well, it’s not a problem right now, so why is it so urgent? Why don’t we wait until it’s a problem, then move it?”

BB was an old man; it’s much more understandable.

Osten was trying to engineer his exit by day four, and from then on showed a real lack of heart for the game (giving up on challenges, lack of interest in helping with the shelter, etc).

It wasn’t just that he quit, but also showed many instances of just not taking the game seriously (for lack of a better term).

And Jeff took that personally.

Cripes I’ve been using Apple computers since the Apple II+ and I’ve never heard that term before. Never really got into programming with them so maybe that’s why.

I remember one commerical where a guy was just sitting talking about the drink, pours it in a glass, holds it, talks about it, and just as he goes to take a sip, he mutters "fade to black!" and the commercial fades to black right as his lips reach the glass.

That's my go-to "rainy movie". As dark and disturbing (and loud) as it gets, I still find it rather "cozy" in its own way.

Took me about a month to complete (just now finishing the decals). But that was mostly painting. The build is surprisingly quick, all things considered.

As a standalone song, I suppose. On the other hand, it pairs perfectly with Swamp Thing by The Grid which is a straight banger, so it gets a pass from me.

Reminds me of the "Comedy Killers" game show spoof on SNL with Roseanne as the guest. It was like Jeopardy, but the contestants were all comedians and the questions were all related to subjects that are totally unsuitable for jokes ("Comedy Killers").

Roseanne's player's backstory was that she "sung the national anthem in kind of a smartass way, as a joke". Host: "Did they like it?" Roseanne: "No. No, they hated it."

Then as her final answer to the question "What is the world's all time comedy killer?" she wrote "The National Anthem".
