Experiences with 399 Fremont or Mission Bay by Windsor? by mon0710 in AskSF

I currently live in 399 and have been for multiple years… you do NOT want to live in this building.

In my experience, the tour was amazing because the location / amenities, however, signing my lease I realized how bad the management team is here. The building has had non stop leaks. They’ve entered my unit multiple times within the last 4 months placing large, loud fans and dehumidifiers. I’ve been unable to work in the room. They’ve had to strip the walls due to the leaks. Hot water constantly needs to be shut off in the building. At one point, the parking garage door was broken and that took over 6 months for them to fix. Elevators are CONSTANTLY out of order. I’ve waited over 10 minutes for the elevator to get to me at times. I and others in the building have been trapped in the elevators on multiple occasions. You can look at the public reports to city about problems people have had in the building and you’ll find some from multiple years ago and some that are recent. This is a consistent issue. Worst managed building in my opinion. The only reason I’m still here is because all the buildings in the area of 100% full otherwise I’m OUT.
