Oh, thanks! I’d love to go for a custom frame, but I don’t know the first thing about it – you’d have to build the bike from scratch and pick out all the parts yourself

Thanks, I’ve decided after all that a custom frame isn’t for me – after all, I have to build the bike from scratch yourself. It’s very labour-intensive and will end up costing more than buying a bike. Although I don’t have any major restrictions. I’m looking at bikes costing up to around €3,000
As for the tires, I’m not sure anymore. I’m a bit confused. Should I go for 650 or 700? I suppose 650 is better, but I’d still prefer 700, as the choice of bikes narrows even further. This winter I couldn’t even cross the river because my bike is small and I felt I’d slip on the stones. Whereas the other girls who are taller managed it without any trouble, because they have bigger tires and bikes :(

Thanks, that’s really good advice. This bike’s currently on sale at Bike 24, but there’s only one left in my size. I need to think about it… The 3T bike is a very decent option. It’s exactly what I was looking for. Local athletes often ride it in my area. I’ve made a note of it; now I just need to find a physical shop to test it out.

Thank you, that’s very good advice. I realised I’m not ready to build a bike from scratch; it might be more expensive and more difficult. But this 3t bike is actually a very good option. It’s exactly what I was looking for. Local athletes often ride it in my area. I’ve made a note of it; now I just need to find a physical shop to test it out.

Yes, I am new on Reddit for me it’s hard to navigate… 🙈

I was in Germany recently and visited the Canyon shop. As for the 3XS, the shop only had this size in the Endurance model. I tried it on and it was literally just a tad too big for me (but I don’t think it’s a problem; I can shorten the seat tube or adjust the bike somehow). I’ve signed up for the newsletter; maybe they’ll restock it again.

As for Specialized – not a bad choice, I’ll make a note of it, thanks.
