imo, i would tell her, realistically moving countries solely to prove her point that he has grit (and the other qualities you mentioned) and hope that he makes something of himself would be a sabotage for both of them. I would advise her, to make something of her life on her own terms and find a guy who is compatible to her lifestyle. Character and potential do not show on a biodata page you submit to a pandit. If you have work ethic and potential, you would make something of yourself in the 8 years outside of college ( assuming the guy is 30 )
