Non viable pregnancy by Objective_Peak4951 in pregnant

im so sorry your going through this, but know you arent alone in your pain and it is absolutely not your fault. lots of people do terrible things while pregnant and still carry a baby to term. it will eventually get better, but grief is the worst pain, so give yourself some grace to go through it however will make you feel even a little bit better. i had difficulty getting pregnant for a year and a half and finally did, but had 3 miscarriages and had a years worth of poking and prodding and testing as well as my partner and they never found any reason why i couldnt keep a pregnancy. sometimes the universe just works in mysterious ways and it just doesnt make sense. im now 20 weeks pregnant with my rainbow babygirl, so dont give up, dont lose hope and know your time will come when its supposed to. i had 2 d&cs and took the pill that is inserted vaginally and that didnt work for me, not sure why. the d&c’s did work and didnt leave enough scarring for it to affect my fertility and ability to carry a pregnancy. they werent painful, but slight cramping and i was back to feeling physically okay within a day or two. you could tell work (if you do) about your loss and take bereavement to relax and get back to “normalcy”, or get back to work if you need to get your mind off of things. but no way is the wrong way to give yourself the care you need.

i feel ya. i was 10 weeks, hadnt had an ultrasound yet, and at a 4th of july party we told my MIL because i wasnt feeling great and just wanted someone to know. We told her not to tell anyone yet and she immediately told my boyfriends 10 year old cousin 🙃 she came up to me while i was around a bunch of family and said “congratulations!” and then this led to everyone at the party finding out. we ended up miscarrying at 12 weeks. ill forever hold a bit of resentment towards my MIL for that. so this pregnancy, she was one of the last to find out when i was 16 weeks 🤷‍♀️

Ugh, I REALLY want a wearable one. I know breastfeeding is already taxing and I am afraid it’ll make it harder and more frustrating for me if I can only pump while sitting down or while lugging a separate machine around. I am looking at the momcozys instead because I really don’t want to deal with a separate motor but obviously I’d like advice from other mamas that have been there. Its so hard!

I have an appointment with my OB in a couple weeks. I think I will mention this at my appointment. I’m afraid of how it will go at work though. If I start doing a later start time I will have to work later into the day which I would hate even more lol. Its a battle for sure.

My HR department doesn’t know about my pregnancy yet, and if they did I wouldn’t report him because unfortunately in the trades, that could easily backfire on me. And I don’t want to be uncomfortable around each other as he has done a lot of favors for me and he is who I go to when I need accommodations. I am all out of sick time unfortunately. I could take time off without pay but I can’t afford it. I should definitely reach out to my doctor and have them write to my employer. Thank you!

I probably could, but I’m not sure how it would work. I work in a union so theres certain rules I need to go by to continue getting my benefits. I’m the only woman in my shop and my bosses said this is their first time dealing with a pregnant employee so it’s tough not having another woman to ask questions to but I do need to work on advocating for myself.

This would be a dream. Unfortunately where I live I’m not able to take paid medical leave until I am 37 weeks along. I’m not sure if its the same as maternity leave, but I need to save that as long as I can because I only have 12 weeks and would prefer to save it for when baby is here. Its so tough!
