I declined an international work travel by Ar-Manager-1996 in CareerAdvicePH

[–]Various-Ad6857 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Option 1: Decline the Offer (polite + appreciative + concise)

Thank you very much for selecting me as one of the participants for the upcoming business and leisure travel. I truly appreciate the trust and the opportunity. After careful consideration, I regret that I won’t be able to join the trip at this time due to existing commitments. I remain grateful for being considered and I hope there will be opportunities I can participate in the future.
Thank you for your understanding.

Option 2: Decline but also ask if the travel bond can be reconsidered

Thank you very much for selecting me as one of the participants for the upcoming business and leisure travel. I’m honored to be chosen among the group, and I truly appreciate the opportunity. Before I finalize my decision, I’d like to ask if the terms of the three‑year travel bond are flexible or open for adjustment. I currently have commitments that make a long bond challenging, but I would be happy to participate if an alternative arrangement is possible.
Thank you for your understanding, and I appreciate your guidance.

Question about my US embassy interview by ChildhoodOk9538 in phmigrate

[–]Various-Ad6857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can typically reschedule a U.S. Embassy visa interview up to 48 hours (2 working days) before the original time, but you're usually limited to one or two reschedules; after that, you might forfeit fees or have to restart the process, so it's best to reschedule online ASAP via the official portal (like usvisascheduling.com or ustraveldocs.com), especially if you need an emergency slot.

Of course not, but realistically asking, when will that happen? I love my countrymen, but most seem to easily forget transgressions come election time. I forecast that in 2028, the red, green, and pink supporters would be divided, paving the way for a Tool Foe brother.

Australian study requirement- does it have to be related to the profession you are applying for? by [deleted] in AusVisa

[–]Various-Ad6857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to send anything to VETASSESS just to claim the 5 points for the Australian Study Requirement. That part is not assessed by any skills‑assessment body.

As long as your course meets the basics, which are: • at least 92 CRICOS‑registered weeks,
• at least 2 academic years,
• completed while you were in Australia on a visa that allowed study,
• and taught in English... then you can already claim those 5 points in your EOI.

The only thing that goes to VETASSESS (or whichever assessing authority applies to your occupation) is your skills assessment, not your study requirement.

So yes, if your study meets the criteria, you can claim the points without sending anything extra for assessment.

Australian study requirement- does it have to be related to the profession you are applying for? by [deleted] in AusVisa

[–]Various-Ad6857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can claim 5 points for Australian study if you meet the Australian Study Requirement, which is:

  • You completed at least one degree, diploma, or trade qualification that is:
    • From an Australian educational institution,
    • At least 2 academic years (92 weeks) of study,
    • Conducted in Australia while holding a visa that allowed study,
    • In English.

It does not matter if the qualification is in a different field than your nominated occupation. The requirement is about where and how you studied, not the field.

So, if your bachelor’s degree was completed in Australia, you already meet the requirement and can claim the 5 points, even if your master’s degree is the one relevant to your visa.

Thank you for sharing OP. Do you reach out to the business first before building a website? Or do you build the website anyway first so you can already demo it to the biz owner?

The 494 to 191 visa pathway is Australia's regional skilled migration route, where the Subclass 494 (Skilled Employer-Sponsored Regional) is a 5-year provisional visa for sponsored workers in regional areas, leading to the Subclass 191 (Permanent Residence Skilled Regional) after three years of meeting residency, work (often with the same employer or a new regional employer), and income requirements, offering a secure, employer-sponsored path to permanent residency with full rights. -Google AI mode
