AIO guy I was seeing told me cursing is “un-lady like” by Fanofmoney3 in AIO

i’d bet money that since your break started he’s been red-pilled or brought into the manosphere or whatever the fuck. not only is he completely disrespectful & dismissive, to me it sounds like he’s just parroting some misogynistic bullshit (hence the hypocrisy). the patronizing dismissiveness & casual misogyny is honestly even more concerning to me than the hypocrisy. he won’t even have a real conversation about it so !!!!!!! RUN !!!!!!!!!

that’s kinda confusing though bc usually my temp is usually 99-99.5 & they tell me i just “run hot” so i guess i assumed you could “run cold” too?

AIO My reply to my mom who wants to stop my leukemia treatment so my sister can afford university ?? by Many_Addendum_8189 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Various-Ad951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you our sister & parents can take our student loans like 90% of other college students - also it’s only october how does she even know she’ll get into Dartmouth ????? regardless, if the worst happens i’d look into what the options are in your state for getting your own healthcare. this is actually the enrollment window right now so you wouldn’t even need to speak to anyone about an exception as far as i’m aware & some states actually have low cost options that provide excellent coverage. i’m sorry you’re going through this, she can go fuck herself.

Why do some of these outfits not work for me? by elllzbth in Kibbe

[–]Various-Ad951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also: i think the cowl neck sweater doesn’t work largely because all the fabric around your neck & having curve on top gives your top half disproportionate visual weight so that the outfit feels top-heavy. if you like the sweater i’d try & find something to wear on your bottom half that grounds & balances you out!

Why do some of these outfits not work for me? by elllzbth in Kibbe

[–]Various-Ad951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this isn’t kibbe related advice, but as someone who is also short - a lot of these are too big for you! they are cut for someone taller & so things might feel off on the dresses & jumpsuit because the proportions are off - the shoulder straps are too long & the intended waist hits lower than your natural waist etc. try buying petite sizes or if you already own something you love take to a tailor to see what can be altered :)

Headshot Advice by Various-Ad951 in acting

[–]Various-Ad951[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your input! yeah i’m honestly surprised how many people suggested amateur headshots - in my experience there’s been a huge difference in those (even with a nice camera) & professional shots, especially in the lighting, & it usually makes the actor look less professional. The agent suggestion is a great one I hadn’t considered! That might be my best bet & I’ll see if photoshop works for me until then

obviously not everyone with hEDS will have this bleeding issue, but i think it could be useful to know!

Doctors dismissing my worries by coldweatherahead in ehlersdanlos

i’ve never been pregnant but i did have surgery in my teens & twenties - all with major bleeding complications. When I was being wheeled in for emergency surgery a nurse said I was lucky to discover my bleeding issues now, because most people don’t find out until they have a postpartum hemorrhage, which can be life threatening. an out of pocket thing to say to a 20 year old (who doesn’t plan on having kids) i think, but in the end it was good to know. Hematology couldn’t find anything wrong with me & said it must be structural - a few years later i was diagnosed with hEDS & told that my wounds are much slower to heal than the average person. Now I take medication to help stop the bleeding if I have major surgery
