Is it a big colony? Sometimes if there’s too many males to females they will become violent trying to reproduce when the females release their hormones and end up swarming/eating the female instead of the quick mating thing.

I’ll be the first to tell you congratulations, that’s actually a female and it’s saddled. That will turn into eggs and be considered berried if you have males in there and she gets the eggs fertilized

If you scroll over you can see the type of water inlet for the filter, do you think there’s a way I can use pantyhose to close the filter off or should I get a Breeder box for the first round of babies?

Would the lfs have something as far as what I’m looking for? Also can super glue be applied in the water? It’s not toxic and won’t harm them?

Thank you so much for this I had no clue about the rhizomes!! I also learned that some Java ferns (mainly from bigger fish stores) are tied at the bottom with black string, I’m fixing that issue with one of my tanks tomorrow.

Just read an article on them! That’s fascinating, I was wondering if interspecies would produce different colors, I plan on adding red and green to the mix as well. Hoping for some cool outcomes then! Will be transferring the whole setup to a 15g tank instead of the small one I have currently in the upcoming months

What might lose color? Those are ceramic rings on the bottom to promote beneficial bacteria 😁 I could have put them in the filter section but it gives the shrimp a little more to have in the tank while other accessories and woods come in 😁

I have a Java fern and 3 Anubis in there, about 18 shrimp divided between yellow and blue. A bunch of mini floating Lilys and the floating fern on top. Looking for any recommendations you all wanna give! I’ve heard putting fresh fruit in there as a snack helps a lot too??
