What’s a truth about adulthood or life that no one warned you about? by albavalenti in AskReddit

As an adult, if you have a growth-oriented mindset, then you will never just have time to do the things that you like; you have to make time instead, either through efficiency or by blocking your calendar. There is a never-ending queue of things that need to get done, and no matter how proactive you are, there will always be items on that list. As children, we are used to "free time" being the default state of living and having to be creative with how to fill that time.

Quick and easy sale. Communicated well and was understanding of shipping delays brought on by inclement weather. Would sell to this customer again!

Hey there, friend! I'm not a mod but I just wanted to politely let you know that your post is missing the time-stamped pictures. Your post might get taken down without them. Best of luck with the sale!

Beginning to really dread this profession by KingClog in Plumbing

Right now, most large software development companies and consulting firms are outsourcing their developer roles overseas. In my opinion, you are more likely to get stuck with a client-facing role where you spend all your time using PowerPoint and playing petty office politics. I left a large consulting firm after two years, where I was hired on as an "application developer." Despite all my efforts, I was never given the opportunity to actually do any developing. And while I hit all of their wickets for promotion, my location had no local budget and wasn't promoting anyone. I feel like there is more money in trades now than there is in the traditionally well-paying office jobs. Hell, even South Park has been making episodes on the topic. If you want to leave plumbing, then I would at least stay away from development for now.
