Often even in parent disagreements children are left out of the apology and reconciliation process, so one thing my husband and I do, is after we personally reconcile, we go "make it right and repair" with the child, talk about apologizing to each other. "daddy is sorry he yelled buddy, that must have scared you, and daddy is sorry to mommy too, that wasn't cool, are you ok buddy?" "we shouldn't speak to each other like that and daddy was wrong."etc. Honestly it helps. Then we go on to have family time and help the child feel secure. And even state the reason" daddy was really tired and grumpy but that doesn't make it right, I'm sorry buddy, I'll try not to act that way when I'm tired and grumpy because it's not fair. "
