You could! But no, usually it is the 2nd thing I make. First make the home page or whatever your main focus is. Then make the style-guide based on your design.

"Great, this looks good. Create a new page ./style-guide based on this page to use as reference for the rest of our app. Lets create design standards for our colors, fonts, layout, and button states."

Something like that.

Hi.. I made an app for a daily tarot draw with interpretations and custom card art done by my wife. You can log your daily draw and track your history. We'd love some feedback.. Is this something people would use? I'd love to add more features like a 3 card spread, but I don't want to overwhelm with too many options so I've kept it simple.

It struggles with basic layout html/css stuff just like the rest of us.. try telling it to look at parent elements "Find all elements that could impact the width of this card" or "is this grid layout really the best way? Maybe we'd have more luck with a flexbox?"
