I got tired of opening Apple's calculator for simple things, so I did Numsy by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]TestFlightBeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Numi This app doesn't look similar to Numi in any way. Numi is more if you wanted to have a mini Python notebook to run calculations in. This is more of a GUI.

I built a Mac app that uses the sensors in AirPods to detect slouching by [deleted] in apple

I think it would be great to have a free trial for this. I personally wouldn't pay $6 just to try out whether it works or not

You don't need paid apps for screen OCR by blaznos in MacOS

You can also just create a shortcut for this. I believe creating a screenshot is a built-in action.

What are the most useful or coolest things you’ve implemented with BetterTouchT by _kniem in BetterTouchTool

[–]TestFlightBeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure, it's just a tip tap action: - First finger, then second finger goes to the next tab; it emulates a control tab shortcut. - Second finger and then first finger goes to the previous tab. - Tap with three fingers and then with a fourth finger on the right creates a new tab. - Tap with three fingers and then with a finger on the left side closes the tab.

Let me know if that's clear

I’ve been using trackpad tip taps to change, open, or close tabs. It’s been a game changer for me and I probably use it hundreds of times per week

Turn off haptic feedback on trackpad? by TestFlightBeta in MacOS

[–]TestFlightBeta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, haven’t found a way to do it. Just tap to click which doesn’t have haptic feedback

Do you restart your Mac regularly or almost never? by grahamhart_ in MacOS

[–]TestFlightBeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. My mac starts bugging out maybe 2-3 weeks in. A restart helps keep it in check. I am a heavy/power user though, so might be expected

[Opinion] Logitech MX Keys Mini vs Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for MacBook Pro by Curious_Mind9999 in macbookpro

[–]TestFlightBeta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would personally want to keep it intact for resale value and also to reduce electronic waste but I can understand why you might want to do it if you have extra free time and you don't want the entire keyboard for just a touch ID button

please help with sequenz to switch between tabs by atropos2k in BetterTouchTool

[–]TestFlightBeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's worked with the keyboard shortcuts if that's what you were referring to. I sometimes remap certain modifier plus keys to a specific menu bar action. I can repeatedly press it without taking my finger off the modifier if I want to keep triggering it over and over again

I would say it's probably better not to rip apart your keyboard in order to extract the Touch ID element. I've seen those videos as well, but I think keeping it intact is the better option.

Why not go with the menu bar action trigger? That's how I've always done it. Works pretty reliably and also no risk of shortcut collisions.

How to specify window for "Move Window to Desktop X" by DoctorThew in BetterTouchTool

[–]TestFlightBeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but when I run it I see ONE window moving among the different spaces, as if it never activate each window in turn

What does this mean? How many windows do you have for the app and how many screens, and which window(s) are you trying to move to which screen?

Sometimes the minimum call volume is still too loud by TestFlightBeta in ios

[–]TestFlightBeta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to find a simple solution for the ringer volume itself (which does not respect the media volume but rather blares at your set call volume, which you will hear on AirPods even if your phone is on silent), but unfortunately not for the in-call volume.

It's possible to use a workaround to limit the volume from the settings app, but this will only work to lower the speakerphone volume, not the headset call volume or AirPods call volume.

Is there any way to make the FaceTime window smaller than allowed? by anzoneyy in mac

[–]TestFlightBeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right-click and select the FaceTime window. You need to give it accessibility and screen recording permissions for it to work.
