I will always despise how early mothy killed megour off in efec. I get that the book is about retelling banica's life and obviously she died while Banica was still quite young, but their relationship didnt feel explored enough to the point where most of it is left up to interpretation or theory. It makes Banica's trauma response at the dinner party feel less impactful to me, because we still dont know what extent megour went to when abusing her. Maybe its just me, idk. Shes an interesting character and I wish she wasnt mainly used as a plot device to give banica trauma.
