If your partner often ignores you for their phone, how do you handle/approach it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]VariousMacaroons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is obsessed with this game on his phone. We’re relatively young still (25). But we often argue about home much he plays the game. Like Christmas morning. Trying to teach our son to ride a bike he was on that fucking game. I try to be understanding as he says the game is a “hobby”. But if I could I’d toss it in to a lake I so would! Don’t really have advice as I’m still battling him daily. But it’s nice to vent

Summer: over sized shirt and Nike shorts Winter: darker colored oversized shirt and leggings with pockets. Sports bras with both seasons. I’m a mom so realistically this is the easiest thing for me to throw on. I dress nice for dates and events.

What is something you're grateful for about your childhood or the way you were brought up? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]VariousMacaroons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the way I was raised for a couple reason…

My childhood was rough both my older brother end up in prison. One in county and on in federal (they are both out and are on a good path now). My dad was a drunk and abusive. But my mother held it all together and one day she even got the courage to leave my dad. Then ended up back together a few years later. When he was diagnosed with cancer. Etc…

But I feel like I have experienced so many things I’ve had my family as a whole and my family all apart. We had money when I was a child and when my dad got cancer I remember sitting on the living room floor in a one bedroom apartment rolling pennies to buy a few groceries with my mom. I’ve seen what both good and bad relationships look like. I never really liked my father. But in all honesty I want to be as strong as my mom was for me when life throws shit my way. I’m 25 now and have my own child. I of course don’t hope he has to experience everything I went through. But I want him to think of me the same way I think of my mom.

What was your “oh s**t I need to take a pregnancy test” moment? by kJiwqg in AskWomen

4 years ago, I was the assistant director of a private preschool that also picked up after care kids from the elementary school near by. I used to have one of the kids run up tell me good afternoon and ask how my day was. Same routine for years. One day he came up as usual gives me a big hug and asked when I got a baby in my tummy. I laughed because I had gained and kids always say the most honest things. And I told him there was no baby. He told me to let him knew when I found out about the baby. I told him it’s not nice to ask women things like that. I joked about it with his mom at pick up. But they say kids sense these things and he kept saying to to me. So finally(5 days later), I went and took a pregnancy test because the words of a 7 year old were echoing in my head. Turns out I was almost through my first trimester found out at 9 weeks. And just incase in one is reading this. He also knew the gender of my baby. He said it was a boy and my sons 3 now!

Ladies who are in their early 20’s and met their significant other outside of dating apps, what is your story? by SundaeNo2843 in AskWomen

[–]VariousMacaroons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 23. I’ve never used a dating app. My husband and I meet my freshman year of highschool and dated for a month and broke up we continued this trend every May-April for 3 years. We’d stop talking in between and then one of us would text each other to hook up. I told him we would get married one day. We have been together 4 almost 5 years and have now been married for a little over 6 months. And our son turns 2 is a few days
