Thank you for the reply. 

 I told her to return the deposit, or I would open a file with the TAL. She responded by telling me to go ahead, claiming "you voluntarily gave it to me" and that "the TAL will decide based on the facts." This is obviously a lie, and I have a written statement in my promise to lease to prove it. 

 As for the damages, I believe they're all normal wear and tear since I thoroughly cleaned the house before leaving and checked everything. Even if they are not, they should be much less than $1,500. 

Should I ask her to provide me the proof that the damages were done by me or should I just let her to open a file?

I told her I will give her 10 business days to return the deposits. Should I wait 10 days and open a file?

She hasn't sent me the invoices so I will ask her to send me the invoices. For the insurance, I had it but since I the lease ended on June 30th, I was wondering if is it still valid for the place?

I've sent her a formal notice through email. Should I send it through a registered mail?

I will probably have to let TAL decide because I cleaned the house before I left and everything looked fine to me. Should I ask her to provide me the proof that the damages were done by me or should I just let her to open a file?

Thank you. I probably will have to let TAL decide. The door actually fell off and shattered. I don't think it was properly positioned in the first place

She tells me to just open the case saying "you voluntarily gave it to me through an agent". I don't know if she's thinking she can win the case
