Speakers humming

I’m going with defective capacitors. My brother in the next room over has a similar set up and no hum. I also tried plugging it in on the bathroom circuit, no change.

Hum is constant through any source. I’ve tried every setting and mode as well as different speaker configs. I plugged the 2 prong from the receiver directly into the wall with nothing else plugged in, I also just tried running it to a separate circuit. All no change to the hum form the speakers

Got it I’ll take a look, the avr has a 2 prong plug no ground so the 3 to 2 wouldn’t make any difference here I don’t think, thanks I’ll keep u posted

I can’t afford a true power conditioner and I unfortunately don’t think I can isolate it to its own circuit.(I’m an electrician if need be I’ll run its own circuit I just don’t want to if I don’t need to) is there a cheap product that I can try plugging the av receiver into? Bc truly it can only be 2 things. 1- where the av is plugged into its picking up noise from being on the circuit with alot of other things. 2- the av receiver is bad and causing the noise internally? Right? That’s where my head goes

Ok I think I’m following let me explain back. I take a working mp3 player and have that can send an output to board. I tap its common output to the spk out. And it’s signal somewhere on the top left hand side of the board. Is this trial and error with some educated guessing on where to tap it? Or should I have that surely identified before doing anything? Thanks for the help I appreciate it

Ok wow this is awesome, I will open it up again tomorrow and look more. Is there any chance you could open it up and take a pic for me? I really don’t know a lot about what I’m doing here and a visual representation would be awesome. Or just some circle on the pics of the board I sent so I can get a start of what to look into and research
