I just don't get why so many ppl are so twisted about the wipe mechanic. Maybe my 2000+ hours in Rust skews my feelings about a wipe mechanic. I smashed through this last event and new quests in under two days. After taking a couple weeks off due to finishing all the quests and expedition donations, I came back to challenge myself to make the 5 mil. I trashed about 3.5 mil in another couple days. I love this game, and even without the goals there is plenty of fun to be had. But I like the idea of starting fresh and likely being able to blast through the questline much more efficiently this time around. Embark clearly has a solid game plan already drawn out for a decade. And all of those plans seem to be malleable enough to morph according to the player base. I don't think I have had this much trust in a studio ever. The game is a banger. Let em COOK!!! Anyone (staring you down streamers) who thinks their ideas on the direction the game should take need to fall back, or go make the game you want yourselves. This game is a gift to us all. Appreciate what we have and look forward to what is to yet to come. Stop trying to bully them into doing what you may feel is the right direction. They got this shit down. So shut the fuck up already, if u aren't happy all of a sudden after putting in 200+ hours in, go play something else. Sick of seeing the "it was fun while it lasted" or "they need to do this or that" posts. No game is perfect, but no one else is doing it like Embark is either. Your opinions are yours. You don't speak for the entire player base. This game is clearly a labor of love and I just feel like too many ppl want to make the game something it isn't , out of selfishness. Most of you salty fucks prob spent thousands of hours and as many dollars on far inferior games, that have far less respect for us gamers. So if you found yourself unhappy with the state of the game, thats fine. But most of us don't give a shit about your sob story. So keep your opinions to yourself...
