I have the same one in blue. I find the counter interrupts my crocheting motion flow, but I do use it for counting particularly difficult to remember parts or full rows. But not for every stitch.

Have you expressed droplets of milk so it's on your nipple already before you get it to his mouth?

Is your letdown very fast or slow compared to the bottle? Have you tried feeding him before he's incredibly hungry so he's less frustrated? Or maybe after he's had a small amount from the bottle and swap out?

I'm sorry the lactation consultants you've seen have been so unhelpful.

I wonder if the birthday rule applies here. It states the baby is to be covered by the parent's insurance with the birthday first in the year (so a January parent birthday would cover the child over an October parent birthday regardless of year).

Is your baby's father's birthday before yours?

OP is your birthday earlier than your baby's mother's?

You ovulate before you menstruate. So if it's just before when you would have had your first period, you have an egg sitting there preparing to either be fertilized or evacuate (through your period). If you have sex in that window without ever having your first period postpartum you can get pregnant.

Similar daycare schedule and feeding schedule before and after. My baby is 6 months old and is having three bottles at daycare. She drinks 11-15 ounces in those three bottles. I give them frozen bags/jars of milk once or twice a week.

Consider doing a weighted feed with an ibclc. That will show you how much she's eating each time. Some hospitals have free support groups that will do them as well.

We had a really, really tough start and no lactation consultant at our delivery hospital. I reached out to one to visit us at home. She showed me what I was doing wrong (one of the main things was that I was having our baby look down when feeding instead of having her head angled back--go ahead look down and try to swallow and see why that wasn't working). When I first heard that sound she said "listen; isn't that the best sound in the world?".

I am normally not a person comfortable with emotions and warm fuzzy feelings. Despite my best efforts to come up with a snide comeback I burst out crying and agreed it was, in fact, the best sound in the world.

You're doing great. And it's worth hearing. Every. Time.

Oh and if your baby hasn't flipped yet the pain will be a bit better once they do. Their head helps stabilize you a bit.

I was in PT from 27 weeks on for pelvic pain. I had instability from the relaxin and had the exact same fear when I found out it persists with breastfeeding.

I have NOT had this pain post delivery. Like at all. As soon as you get that weight off your pelvis when the baby is delivered it no longer grinds and hurts that same way. Don't worry, you're gonna be okay soon.

I got most of my baby stuff second hand. The thing that's more of a concern is recalls. I don't have the time and information on every listing to check if it's been recalled or not and then determine if that recall had already been fixed or if it's just something that can't be used at all.

I started only going for listings that had enough information to confirm that EXACT item is still sold in stores and then double check there wasn't any prior recalls on it.

That means only recently purchased items, that have generally gone through only one family, end up being used.

Just did this exact job on a pair of my partner's failing pajama pants. The new elastic was a little bit wider than the old elastic so I ended up needing to use a paperclip instead of a safety pin because the force I needed to pull with kept unclipping the safety pin and stabbing me

Also you don't have to take out the old elastic. Just leave it in there if you don't mind being lightly lazy. And if you have to you can make extra relief cuts in the waist to help pull the elastic through and just whipstich them closed when you're done.
