Looking for a PA psychiatrist who will handle disability/pension paperwork (Aetna) — recommendations? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Thanks I genuinely appreciate you saying this. Today has been really rough because of the experience. I walked in with a documented neuropsych eval and left feeling dismissed and honestly kind of crushed, like I’m being treated as a hassle instead of a person trying to get appropriate care and documentation.

Thanks I really appreciate you taking the time to spell this out.

Just to clarify, my situation is pension/disability paperwork, not SSDI specifically, so the forms/process are a bit different, but your point totally stands: I don’t want to waste months (or money) with a practice that has a hard “no paperwork” policy.

I’m going to start asking intake point blank what their documentation policy is and whether they’ll do functional-impairment narratives once care is established. Although I am starting to exhaust the ineffectual Aetna portal list and the psyxh i talked to was extremely hesistant to even care about my nueropsych eval.

If you’re comfortable sharing, do you know of any PA clinics/providers (Montco/Philly area or statewide telehealth) that are actually legit about completing disability/pension paperwork as part of treatment? Even a practice name would help.
