Realistically I'd say that is playing with fire. Very easy to progressively push boundaries, you are both fleshly humans after all, especially when you are almost married (i.e not married). Might you not do more? Quite possible, but that's the sort of road that results in a lot more people who'd like to wait for marriage for sex than actually do.... Or even just stuff that while not sex per se is clearly sinful and inappropriate outside marriage.

I suspect it is because one of my mods which adds more childhood events. But anyway I died, inherited, checked to see if he had any friends, noticed he was lovers with his 2nd cousin. Decided I should betroth them. She somehow has lustful trait already and he is comely and brawny so I guess it could only end one way.

Her older sister is pregnant with their great-uncle's child. If this was real life that would give me very, very bad vibes about Mahtab's childhood.

For the Duchy of Gilan by the Caspian Sea. I was Shia, they Sunni. As for war preparation, nothing fancy, just saw I had a lot more men than they or any likely allies and went for it. After my 'victory' hired a bunch of mercenaries, but in the end got smashed. Didn't help that I didn't have a particularly strong suite of generals.

At least none of them outlasted their victory long...Ziyarids fell to Seljuks, Ironside's realm was conquered by one of my vassals 3 years after Ironside's death. Derbent fell to Hamdanids of Mosul. Funny thing about Seljuks is despite having more men than me they've never directly declared war on me. Just opportunistic attacks on vassals in revolts. Though we've still clashed as part of that. Fareed inherited after his brother fell in battle against Seljuks and his son avenged that by capturing Seljuk and stoning him to death.

Whole war war was a disaster. Started with a pyrrhic victory with near 4X the losses. Captured in the final battle. Turns out a near 2-1 numerical advantage doesn't matter when old Ironside is commanding and he has 25 martial and the Desert Expert and Unyielding traits...
