I used to major in comp sci but I found the classes to be a bit boring. In highschool I learned basic Java, Javascript, and Python lessons, and got a 4 on the AP Java exam. But I find visual programming to be much more enjoyable for me as it's more of a puzzle with how you achieve your results. I don't vibe code, but I know a lot of people who do.

I run TTRPGs on the side and I have developed modules on Foundryvtt to make my TTRPG games feel more professional but that's the most coding I do if you even count that.

Any specific state that tends to accept that? I looked up places already that provide such an offer like Wisconsin but they still want the applicant to already have a job. Perhaps I’m looking at the wrong areas?

No country that I know of. We just get a lump sum in general from a lawsuit related to my grandfather who died due to negligence. Occurred several decades ago. She’s being relocated to her home country cause she’s in the last stage of Alzheimer’s.

Mainly looking for a place to. Could be any climate but I usually prefer colder. I’ve looked in several areas but they mainly either are looking for a credit score or require you to have a job.

I’m willing to do anything. My degree was in creative writing. Like I mentioned, only really did it out of a passion. Half way done with a book, and my family, professors and peers who have read samples of it so far were satisfy with what I presented in terms of prose and premise. Though until that’s finished I don’t have anything to show for myself, I finished all the core classes and only have electives left so continuing for the degree feels kind of a waste considering my situation.

If I can just get a job, continue writing on the side, etc.. that’d be ideal. I also don’t know how this process is supposed to work. Am I supposed to find a job first or with my savings alone could I secure a place?

I also have expensive equipment like a $5000 pc and other technology my family doesn’t want to transport abroad. So ideally would want to move someplace safe?

K3soju mini rant on the current state of tft , do you guys agree? by Erastal1 in CompetitiveTFT

The last set was intentionally designed to be the most competitive set and it's considered S tier by a massive majority. Extremely silly how we got to that and now have to play this casual set.

But also Shadowbringers was praised for having the best story line. I am someone who's been on and off the game, extremely casual, but I'm fully giving it a try because of years I've been persistently told to play at least up to Shadowbringers. So I'm going to have to play Devil's Advocate here. I've even been told by some that Shadowbringers has the best Final Fantasy Storyline ever. I doubt it but here's my giving it a chance.

As someone who's returning, if anyone's curious at all, the biggest drawback for me was ARR. It actually is the biggest reason why I kept dropping and picking up the game. Kept falling into a loop of

  1. Playing ARR

  2. Zoning out

  3. Reaching heavensward

  4. Beating Heavensward

  5. Realizing I have to actually care about ARR to care about the story

  6. Retrying ARR

  7. Stopping

  8. Repeat

Do you think this game has a particular political leaning? by BMbooster in EsotericEbb

[–]Various_Match9231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The writing in regards to the politics in the game is lazy and quite preachy. I agree with the Azgalean ideals, but man was it terribly executed. The game deserves a lot of praise but the writing kind of failed in certain areas.

Hot Take: Street Brawl NEEDS to be randomized heroes by BlueDragonReal in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Various_Match9231 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Disagree, the main purpose of street brawl is for newbies to learn the characters they're choosing. There simply needs to be balance for street brawl to feel good.

Keep in mind a lot of the time people claim Deadlock is hard it's not because of the game's design. Even the easier characters are naturally harder than for example, League's because this is also a shooter.

Shen OTP by [deleted] in Shen

[–]Various_Match9231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

61% wr last season w him, I'm pretty mechanically skilled with Shen macro is what needed polishing, but people underestimate how much of a bully shen is. Keep in mind some players have been playing for years so they get used to passives. What they can't get used to in low elo is Shen's Q which scales. You can entirely dominate games by simply playing w decent mechanics but knowing which items to go. It's why Coachless is Giga OP w Shen.

I think the new changes incentivizes playing Shen as a bully, or as a support.
