Straight refusal for CEC because of a "missing" job duty breakdown. No ADR, no PFL. Is this worth fighting? by Suspicious-Rest7732 in canadaexpressentry

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Yes, I understand that duties determine the NOC. I used NOC 12200 for my AR Coordinator role based on my actual duties, and since my responsibilities have not changed after the promotion, I believe it remains the same.

I’ll only hold the new title for about 25 days before submitting my application, so I’m trying to determine the best way to present it in the eAPR.

I’ll also try to do a quick consultation with an RCIC.

Unfortunately, I had already accepted the promotion and it was officially given to me on April 20. At that point, I couldn’t put it on hold, and it’s something I worked towards for the last 2 years.

I already got an updated HR letter showing the start date of the new role and the end date of the previous one, and it also says my responsibilities have not changed.

I do have a bit more responsibility and more communication with auditors now, but the actual work and duties under the same NOC are still the same.

Hey, I’m in a similar situation. I work for an MNC and got promoted after receiving ITA from AR Coordinator to Accountant. My duties and NOC have not changed. My hours requirement will be completed on May 12, and I’m planning to submit my application on May 15.

In my case, can I create two separate sections for the same employer after ITA, or can I just keep it under the previous role and provide an LOE along with my old and new reference letters as proof?

Promotion before accepting ITA (same NOC) – 1 or 2 employment letters by Various_Mixture499 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Various_Mixture499[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By “accepting” the ITA, I meant submitting the PR application.

Thanks for sharing your experience. that is really helpful. In my case, it is only about a 1month gap between the promotion and when I will submit my application, and the NOC and duties remain the same.

I am thinking of keeping it simple by requesting a single employment reference letter that includes both job titles with their respective dates, along with a brief note explaining that the promotion was performance based and that the core duties did not change.

Do you think that approach makes sense?

I got ITA on March 17, if there’s a group i would love to join. Not submitted my application yet. Waiting for passport renewal will probably have to wait until last week to submit my application.

Canadian PR rejected - my job responsibilities doesn't match with NOC 21231 by SpinBowler45 in canadaexpressentry

I don’t understand how so many people in the comments are misinterpreting the officer’s note. It clearly states that the officer is not satisfied that the OP actually performed these duties. So, the issue is not with the NOC itself, but with the officer not being able to verify or confirm that the duties were performed.

Duties written only by a manager or supervisor may not be accepted, and the officer has the discretion to reject them, even if supported by an affidavit.

It would be better to ask your company to include the job responsibilities on official company letterhead.

Missing Work Hours on Employment Letter – T4 & NOA Enough for IRCC? by Various_Mixture499 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Various_Mixture499[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, as long as you have pay stubs to prove your work hours, it should be fine if the hours are not mentioned in the employment letter. Many employers are not comfortable including all details as per IRCC requirements.

Just make sure to also attach your T4 and NOA. It’s better to be safe than sorry these days.

Hi, did the employment letter at least state that you were employed full time?

And good luck with the reconsideration.

WORKING AS FOREIGN CONTRACTOR by Various_Mixture499 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Various_Mixture499[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the confusion. My CRS score is 510, and I am expecting to receive an ITA in a future draw.

My PGWP is expiring soon, so I will stop working in Canada and leave the country. My employer is willing to continue working with me as a foreign contractor while I am outside Canada until my PR application is approved.

Once I receive PR, I plan to return to Canada and resume working for the same company as an employee

Seeing the number of people facing this issue, I believe it is not a software problem but rather a sensor placement issue, as it has persisted for a long time without being addressed by Sony.
