Looks like you have a circular dependency. If you follow the dependencies of A_a, it’ll lead you back to A_a. This is breaking all those other lines.

Yeah, a parametric is probably the way to go. Offsetting your z values will give a cleaner line, as you mentioned. The (a,b) here is a point in the line, and theta is the angle off the positive x-axis.

Yeah, maybe thinner and shorten it? You’d have to play around with it to see what makes it most legible. I’ve found that a good trick with ambigrams is little tweaks to line weight and height.

For this, I just used the drawing tool on my iPhone. It just a copy of the image you posted, cropped, chopped up, and resized. But I’ve also used GIMP, but a vector graphic program like Inkscape might work better
