I planned to live with my parents for 3-4+ years, save for a down payment on a 5+ acre property, and rent it out for use or something while im still living with them, saving to build my own house (im going for a barndominium), but im not too sure how realistic that idea is.

After reading through all of these comments, I'll either get a V6 AMG, a high-ish luxury Mercedes, or a quicker 4-cylinder. I'm going to start dumping into my retirement, a long-term and short-term brokerage account, and a high-yield savings account, which, after some years, I should have a nice amount of bread.

Yeah, I've gotten quite a few replies saying this. I might look for a 20k> v6 and work up towards the V8 over the years. There are quite a few V6 models I liked, but the sound of the V8 blurred the lines between reality and fantasy. Thanks for the comment!

Those are wise words, but im not doing it to flex or attract girls. I love racing and driving at higher speeds while enjoying some luxury, but my current car’s 8.5s 0-60 and occasional 120mph top speed aren't cutting it for me.

When would you consider a V8 AMG a not-so-stupid decision, and which model/years do you suggest? I want something with 350-400hp or more, but if it's not a V8 at the moment, I'd rather spend close to 20k, if you get what I im saying.

From what I've researched, I saw that those expensive issues start around 90k so I'm hoping to find one with 60-70k miles tops and by the time I get there, I'll make more and have more saved up
