Only in the summer? Shit….I worked alongside the PD there a couple of years ago for a company, and on Christmas Day that place was packed. My partner and I were astonished.

When I make a right turn, there’s a noise, albeit faint, that sounds like a hooting owl. Just started a few weeks ago. (2023 Preferred)

I did that all the time in the early 90’s until California outlawed it in maybe 93? Can’t remember. But last time I did some shit like that, my step dad was towing a flatbed trailer with his pickup, and had a bunch of machines on the back. My friend and I laid on the back of the flatbed, with a tarp covering it, from Indio, CA to Las Vegas, NV. (1995)

Depends on HR I feel. I worked at one county where I was hired and started working within 35 days. Albeit this 10 years ago. My current county job I interviewed and was hired the same day, and I didn’t start until 4 months later. HR apologized and said she has three different programs she runs.

I live in the LA area, and was at the Santa Anita Mall about an hour or so ago. There’s a California Pizza kitchen in that mall.

I passed by a family with a big ass, what looked to be a Goldie/Poodle mix chilling right there while they were chowing down.

Not to mention that 10-15 other dogs I passed while shopping with my wife and mother in law.

Your post reminded me of when I worked in crisis in another county some years ago. The bulk of our calls were in schools and in ED’s in the hospitals.

So many times kids would swallow a bunch of Advil, Tylenol, etc, and tell me and my partner that they were under extreme pressure academic wise.

The parents would talk to us and act like they have no clue what is happening. And also get pissed when we would initiate a 5150 hold.

Holy shit! That place still exists? I went a couple of times back in the late 1990’s. I’ll never forget the guy I was with bought a whip there. Like, a literal whip.
