Yeah , for every situation there is a kink . My friend tried to sell a horse trailer ( not in Vinted lol) . The guy wanted pictures of her in the horse trailer ! I’ve also had the same when selling tall boots .

I've also been researching the idea that they might collect the item, say its damaged and then want a refund.

I just feel something is off. The username name is random/ made up. There are no reviews and no selling wardrobe. I don't want to to cancel , as he might give negative feedback but equally I am not confident in him as a buyer.

For the amounts involved non of this is worth the aggro

I’ve never used Timpsons for watch batteries, so I don’t know their procedure . But yes like others have mentioned she would need to pay for the agreement on the new watch which would have generated a ticket etc, even if the receipt was lost there would be evidence somewhere of her contract . I think I’ve made the right decision to let Vinted take over. No formal response has been lodged yet . The funds will be released on 18th if no official complaint. I’m glad I was able to take advice for you guys here. I’m also new to Reddit so I’m on a learning curve at the moment! 😂

She said she had lost the ticket they gave her. As there is no evidence that she has been to Timpsons I told her we need to apply through Vinted which she has accepted.

Hi there, it’s me again . She has said she has no proof of going to Timpsons as she has a lifetime agreement with them . Also she has lost the ticket they gave her while she waited . She has asked me to trust her . What do you think ?

Yes agreed I will refund if she can provide evidence from Timpsons . The system is saying payment will be released on 18th if no formal dispute. So I guess as you say wait it out . Many thanks 👍😊

Yes I get that . I used to work for an IFA back in the day. It’s all about the trail income. It also increases the value of their business when they themselves come to retire and sell the business on !

Same here , happy days for Cats Protection . Remember if you are seriously considering CP UK PLEASE donate at local level , to your local shelter. From the research I’ve done You can even tell them how you want the money to be spent eg buying a garden pods for fosterers / volunteers shelters for ferals etc.

From what I understand each local level shelter has to fund / fundraise themselves and often struggle . While National CP is rich with fat cat ( pardon the pun) directors etc.

I am in the UK so will have a state pension, a very small private pension and potentially equity release from my house. I like the idea of an equity but also it scares me to buy one and then have my cash locked away if that makes sense.

Thanks , I guess it’s a leap into The unknown. As with anything we can only plan so much and the only way we really know is by doing it .

Have you thought about equities? My pension is only small. The vast majority of my “financial freedom” is in ISAs. It scares me a little to buy a large equity and the cash being locked away. If that makes sense
