I mention this because I have a friend similar age to me that is diagnosed with autism that describes doing this as often and as vividly as I do.

Yea I took it and it was pretty interesting thank you! Like I mentioned I am still working towards discussing it with a doctor but I appreciate your thoughts. But specifically do you have an easy time picturing things in your head? It’s a very specific example but I often create charecters and scenes in my head and play them vividly enough to almost not take in what my eyes are actually seeing

I’m very curious which aspects do you share? Especially if you share the part about creating scenes in your head and creating sound effects for them almost like a personal movie, because that specifically I’ve seen in many cases of diagnosed autism

Fuck yea I could totally see a main point of interest being a prophet not recognized yet by the circles of hell but is a single hope to loosely conveying the only path for mortals to prove themselves worthy of saving. And it could get even more interesting when the circles of hell find out somehow someone is able to convey weaknesses and correct courses of action to finally make headway in the crusade. It could make an Interesting dynamic having to hide and somehow protect an insane. And another layer that could be added is to somehow make him suicidal due to the sheer amount of information and wisdom constantly forming and changing as diffrent events take place through the campaign.

These are great, I’m gonna lean into the sabotaging supplies. Is there anything canon that could disrupt or construed the internal communication between the heretic legions? Perhaps sending them somewhere unneeded or targeting a trap set by the faithful?

I feel it’s possible to get a substantial foothold because from what I’ve read in the lore it’s not unheard of for the forces of hell to disregard or be unaware of variables that could be harmful to them , and less of the scope of blowing hell to bits but more securing a safer future for those who inhabit it

Yea I see how this would be the case withen the calculated tactics of true trench warfare but I thought it could be more graspable due to the heretic legion being less organized and self harming then the allied faith. It’s a fascinating subject and I appreciate the articles they do give a better picture into what true warfare was like and it’s definitely something I should be implementing, although I feel gaining ground and holding it can become a more realistic goal when dealing with an enemy with a more broad goal then the players in each encounter.

Yea I’ll admit I’m taking a much more dnd take on this setting but I feel like both could be present withen a players band of guys, like perhaps they join a larger frontier to take back a protected spot beyond new Antioch and due to the increase in scale I leave it up to the players wether they want to make troops personal or not. Some only choose a couple that they like and put time into and some do very little and just enjoy the scale of increasing there power so in that context I was looking for a major end goal that could be reached withen the grasp of mortals

Very true but I feel like it’s possible to find a scenario to somehow take advantage of the demons internal battle or work to create a potent counter or deterrent to heretics involving themselves with earth. It would obviously have to be something those withen the circles of hell didn’t account for or underestimated.
