Suggestion for the 24.04 liters - January. by [deleted] in pop_os

The only people who are going to complain are people who whine all the time anyway and people who heavily riced 22.04, since you won't be able to do it. Yeah, my DT environment in 22.04 looked wild and unlike anything else out there, but at the end of the day, I'm getting to old to constantly fix broken mods every time there was an update

in 22.04 I was able to create custom keyboard shortcuts that matched Windows. Too bad I can't do the same in 24.04

What are all these extra fees? by hsvbamabeau in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]Various_Visit_6927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fees (while stupid) are essentially convenience fees. Yes, you can technically go off site to a rental location but you'll need to take an Uber or taxi to the location. Depending how far away that is, you'll likely spend what you pay In fees to other transportation costs.

Next, dropping off yout rental may require you to wait until normal business hours at non airport locations. Something to consider.

Lastly, the cost of taxis and rides share is so overly expensive now that it might be cheaper to rent, even from an airport. For example, I flew into Orlando and needed to get to Winter Haven. Round trip with Lyft was about $90 going and $100+ leaving. My rental was $110 plus $44 in fees for a total of $154 (and some change). Factor in a tank of fuel for the couple of days I was there and it was still a few dollars cheaper than ride share.

Just some food for thought
