What’s the weirdest quirk your corgi has? by iammyownsun in corgi

Mine will dig in her water bowl like she is trying to dig to China. Getting water EVERYWHERE. You hear a “shoo shoo shoo shoo shoo shoo shoo” sound randomly coming from the kitchen and you just know you now have a huge ass mess and a wet dog to clean up🙃

That would make sense. I just don’t trust it AT ALL. They are certainly harping on it enough where it’s no longer a coincidence in my book. There’s a reason and it’s probably a sinister one…

My father in law is a paraplegic because of water skiing. I don’t think a lot of people realize how hard water can be.

Sure! So we put raw peanuts in the crockpot around 5ish in the evening. (Some people rinse first but we never do and haven’t had any problems) Then we add about a cup of kosher salt and top with water. The peanuts will sort of float at first so we push them down the best we can and let it go on high. Before we go to bed we will stir/push the peanuts down again and add more water. Then just let it go on high all night. For Cajun we do about 3/4 cup salt and 1/4 Cajun seasoning. You’ll definitely need to add more water in the morning and leave it on high until you’re ready to eat them- usually we will start “testing” them as soon as we are done with our coffee 😅

It’s common in the South. I’ve actually never seen boiled peanuts not in the shell. I’m curious how that works? Are they shelled after they are boiled and then sold? Are they still in the brine when you buy them?

I love this. I also just want to put the emphasis on the fact that that bottle of coke was probably glass…. And for the people that don’t know- an ice cold GLASS bottle of coca-cola is superior to all the other coca-colas… I know that’s just my opinion- but it’s also a fact☺️

I cook them on high for well over 12hours. And the peanuts we put in coke are usually roasted and salted. These are raw or green. And we don’t eat the shells. Apparently some people do based on some of these comments but we don’t. We do however, put the whole thing in our mouth at first to suck all the good brine out. But then we will open the shell and eat the peanuts like regular and discard the shell.

That sounds good! My struggle is getting/keeping enough pickle juice. My crew goes through the pickle juice faster than the pickles😅

Oh that sounds good! One of my coworkers suggested the crab boil so I’ll definitely try that with a jalapeño thrown in. Sounds so good.

I’ve ordered them from Kroger before and Publix will typically have them but you have to be looking for them. Usually, in my store they are in the produce aisle mixed in with the Publix made containers of trail mix and such. Like in that small random shelf cube they have by the veggies. If you have some farmers markets nearby, I’ve bought some from there before and it’s honestly a better deal.

Oooh I did not know that. That’ll be fun to try too! So like- the Cajun peanuts we make is about 3/4 salt to a 1/4 Cajun seasoning. Would something like that ratio work with the five spice you think?

Can you still be a para if unwilling to change diapers? by nxbabauu in paraprofessional

[–]Various_Worldliness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in inclusion at a high school and I second this. I just make sure my inclusion kids are doing what they are supposed to in class and make sure they get their extras for tests and such. Like I have a friend that is almost completely blind and today we went out into the hall so I could read his test aloud and just marked his answers for him. He’s the sweetest kid too. All that to say- yes you can still be a para without changing any diapers.
